Has anyone seen our 'Club Football Philosophy' as documented on the offish May 2013? Do you feel that the club are practising this philosophy and that our style of football since the above date reflects this? CLUB FOOTBALL PHILOSOPHY ''Our club football philosophy is to play a creative and fluid style. Our teams look to attack and the players are comfortable and flexible with or without the ball. We embrace individually talented players who work hard within the team dynamic, key attributes which resonate with the fans. Our intent is to compete and thrive within the Premier League. A QPR player must be adaptable and able to cope with changing circumstances. Our players are not coached in a playing system but more in a playing style. Our style is not a rigid formation system but will include play through the thirds (possession based or counter attack), based on exceptional technique, intelligent individuals, capable of beating opponents 1v1 and via team movement. Defensively we are flexible and players are comfortable and adept whether pressing or holding; playing a high line or deep as required. Our players are encouraged to develop within this style whilst we recognise every player is an individual and very different. Different “types” of individual players and specialists are sought – effective in making, scoring or stopping goals. However all share common traits – awareness, perceptiveness, flexibility and the ability to play what is around them for the good of the team. At first team level, the performance of the team is always of greater importance than the performance of the individual. The individual player’s performance is always of greater importance than the teams at all levels below the first team. Our intent is to prepare players for Premier League football whilst being able to adapt to all other levels and our coaching/teaching principles and tactical cycle reflects this.'' You know the answer Nines. I wasn't aware this existed, and clearly the coaching staff since 2013 are in the same boat. The shortage of players with exceptional technique, intelligence and the ability to beat players 1:1 may be holding us back. But Jamie Mackie's fit again!
I was wondering if we - as fans - had a case to make under the 'Trade Descriptions Act?' The Trade Descriptions Act 1968 The Trade Descriptions Act makes it an offence for a trader to make false or misleading statements about goods or services. It carries criminal penalties and is enforced by Trading Standards Officers, making it an offence for a trader to: apply a false trade description to any goods supply or offer to supply any goods to which a false trade description has been applied make certain kinds of false statement about the provision of any services, facilities or Philosophy on Football
We'd certainly have a case for getting our money back !! I wonder who decided to put the clyb "ethos" into writing - was this before Kneecap, or once he was in place?
It wasn't Redknapp, he told a judge in a court of law that he could barely read and write, and he wouldn't lie under oath would he?
If I'm not mistaken, that harks back to the "never be in this situation again" battle cries that preceded the longest winless streak in Premiership history. I think the only way they could recoup the effort of penning that fantasy story is by releasing club brand toilet paper with it printed on.
It's like a Fray Bentos pie (remember them?) or a Vesta Chow Mein. The packaging description doesn't remotely look like the actual finished goods.
If you stay off the Official site you don't have to read the lies. To think, 18 months ago our media department were quality, now who really believes a word they say.
Yes, that's a good comparison. QPR's football philosophy summed up in one photo ... please log in to view this image
If it was May 2013 that would have been when our glorious warriors were on their way back to the Championship under Redkrapp's inspirational leadership. That document certainly bypassed 'Arry plus the first team squad after that and no-one has noticed it since...
So is our dof in charge of football philosophy and trying to enforce it? Or will this mean another new department with another director. Sorry I'm taking the p!ss but sadley would not be suprised if that happend. If they do then someone like Trevor Sinclair would be announced as dop. Then Ray Wilkins will be brought in to be the director of which way the ball should be going during the match. Just need Ian Holloway to be brought in as director of half time entertainment....
