Totally agree with this. Football is a funny old game and will always throw up some shock results but the art of being a good team is consistency and that is what we don't have much of at the moment......I would love it if we can get a result but i don't have any confidence in the club ATM.

Well looking at the positives of our last three games under Curtis, and having watched the Manu v Chelsea game, I'm very upbeat that we can at least get a draw from this game, and heaven forbid that we score first, then united will crumble, and another win against United will be added to our already impressive tally, do you not think that our boys will be more than up for this game considering another double over united is now on the cards?......<ok>

They should be Phil. But will they? Remember this is a team of players that has consistently shown a lack of desire for most of the season.

Sorry , more like a lack of direction coming to a indisputable head against Leicester .A lot of the improve has more to do with Monk gone than Curtis there , although the players seem very eased at Curtis and his staff's gentle persuasion.

For this fixture last year I was lying in my hospital bed with a catheter up my chopper with other patients visitors keeping me updated on their mobiles. At least this year I shall be feeling more comfortable at home hopefully with the same result. A lot will depend on the attitude of the Man U players as I think ours will be up for it, because no matter what the ability of the players it doesn't matter if the mind set is not right.

If ever a game had 0-0 over it, it's this game.

I thought you were going to say that a lot depends on your chopper. lol. In all serious it does depend on the attitude of the Utd players, if they want Van Gaal gone, this is the game to make sure it happens.

Van gaal made an odd statement a couple of weeks ago he said " I earn a lot of money at man utd for doing nothing and it dont get any better than that" I think the Man utd players took exception to that and they do want him gone....so trunds you have a point there......

Fair comment, but we have always raised our game for the big matches, and this one gets no bigger, I see our boys snapping at the heels of United from the off, and you can bet that our coaching staff and players are thoroughly focused on another double over Manu, we have confidence back just in time for this one, and our Captain Williams is hitting some fine form, so as I've said I'm very upbeat about this, and going for a 2-1 win to the mighty Swans..............<cheers>

    Lawro says....

"It may have been an eighth successive game without a win for Manchester United, but their performance at least was much better in the 0-0 draw against Chelsea.

That is a big part of what the Manchester United fans want. Sure, they want a crack at winning the Premier League and challenging in the Champions League, but just as much they need to see that attitude, style and determination to take the game to the opposition.

The pressure on manager Louis van Gaal is not about an expectation of winning 4-0 each week, it is about how the the team are playing.

With that performance against Chelsea under their belts, even after Swansea's recent improvement under caretaker Alan Curtis, I think they will make a return to winning ways.

    Lawro's prediction: 3-0
