Lala gets lots of criticism on here and rightly so as he is so lightweight and so little end product plus has had a season and a half

**** off was he. Benteke created three decent chances in the second half, and was actually a presence. Sorry Jimmy but bar 1 and a half games Firmino has been absolute ****, he bottles challenges and has the first touch of Emile Heskey, he offered nothing, not even work rate today. He clearly has good movement, but if you want to slaughter Benteke for struggling with the basics for a striker then the same should be applied to Firmino as an AM, he is pants and was a waste of money.

Which brings me to another point - first touches. For a side full of supposedly "technical" player, it amazes me how poor the first touch often is. Lost count of the amount of hospital touches and passes was played today, no wonder we can't keep anyone fit, dread to think what it's like it training. Clearly Klopp has a lot of work to do in the coming months.

I think 2nd half he was far better.

Sky have just shown some clips and he got a lot more involved 2nd half in terms of link up etc. His movement was a bit better 2nd half and he should have had 2 goals.

  4. They're will be a time but with Studge, Ings and Origi injured, what was Klopp to do?

Anyway, the transfer window is upon us now so he does have the option of doing something.

Because it's just scapegoating..... look at sky analysis. There was movement.. there was lots of effort. They all tried. Lallana ran about and did nothing.. immune though.

The entire team needs to do better, the whole lot of them. If people were a tiny bit fair I'd rip strips off benteke at tines.

    Badum tisssss

Not here in stores, a specialist item apparently, besides, the Finns are clever, there is a lot of tax on many items, basically anything that is made in Finland is cheaper because of import tax on non Finnish items that have to be imported. Society is very nationalist here, but not in a belligerent aggressive unapologetic way. Though up north, you get the yokels.. but pay them no mind, the Dudesons <laugh>

It sustains local economies, things will never be boom, but not bust either, very good standard of living here.

Klopp will have to sort this out and it will be interesting to see where.

Will he buy cm, winger or even a striker...... we will see.

I think we need to improve all round. Benteke is one part of that but others serve up dog poo and we only hear it's Benteke's fault.

I don't know if it's something you can teach in training... Carra mentioned it just now, he struggled when he has time to think about it. I suppose you can replicate that in training by just giving him 1v1 shooting practice.

Don't know if it was similar at Villa or not, but need to stop it being a problem here because that's twice in 2 games now, almost identical situations.

Can and Henderson were very good today I thought. Hope Hendo isn't too injured.

Need a striker. A quality striker that can create chances would help alleviate stress on our defenders because opposition couldn't sit back so deep and counter.

Dare I say it but Emily Heskey was not a donkey. He was instrumental with Owen in 2001.

He had too many ankle injuries and slowed up.

He was more useful than Firmino that's for sure. What does the former offer other than a Brazilian name? Give Tex a chance.

We will have to see cos he's got 4 so we will have to see. It will certainly tell what he thinks of all 4 if another turns up.... not just benteke. .. origi needs time and sturridge might frighten klopp at 150k per week meaning he gets millions per goal due to lack of fitness

Firmino isn't a hard worker? He's made the most tackles for an attacker in the league.

Firmino has been poor - no one has denied that, but he's still created the most clear it chances in the team, has the most assists and should have had 3 more when he put the ball on a plate for Benteke against arsenal, Leicester and today.

You say he's a waste of money - the flashes are there to see. Players take time to adapt. He's new to the country, new culture, language etc. Some of the best foreign imports this league has seen take 1-2 years to settle, look at Ozil this season.

And Firmino created another chance for Ibe - some would argue he should have buried it. A) it's his weaker foot, and b) Ibe was in a better position.

He's 23, nowhere near the finished article but
Already scored more and got more assists this season than Lallana has in 2015 ha!

I'm really impressed with Ings. Studge is great but it's time we risked getting out bums bit by selling him. Too much of a luxury having him in the injury room.

Origi has improved under Klopp. He looked lazy and useless under Rodgers. I'm not pinning my hopes on him but not calling for his head either.

Benteke has a role and a purpose. There are some games he is an asset and some that just don't suit him. I wouldn't throw him out with the bath water, but if an offer came in close to what we paid I'd be interested in selling and buying someone more versatile that fits our needs.

He's had a month more than Benteke, and fewer injuries
