Benteke may aswell not be on the pitch. He has touched the ball like 10 times I reckon and thats his pointless leaps into the air
It's not about Origi starting, or whoever. It's when Benteke has started. Now, we haven't been brilliant every time Benteke hasn't started. But we've seen more better performances.
Id agree if all their first touches wasnt so bad if they were exchanging well until it gets to benteke and it fell down there. Klopp has to decide one or the other. They may not be the ideal players but we have players that can get wide and cross.
Not to mention that we stupidly default by clipping the balls into the box because of the big target man. Not having a go at the lad but he's simply not suited to or good enough.
Not really... bar the City game, the creative players have hardly set the world alight when they've played without Benteke. We're just not sure how to play with or without him. Our whole squad is too unbalanced, 3 numbers 10's and the only chances we've created is a shot from 25 yards, a cross fro Clyne & a well worked corner.
Yes, you have been wrong in the past too, not just now. Sakho and Can are frequently amongst our best players.
If we change anything it should be Lallana coming off. I wouldn't mind Origi coming on and we go two up top but I'd imagine Klopp would put Obe on (not seen the bench so assuming he's on it) PS; not just based on this game but I like the look of Watmore (in a non-Brighton way)
Not exusing them as wel - they need to do a lot more. But I think it concerning that all 3 creative players can't create. They've proven they can create when Benteke hasn't started.
To be fair, Villa are ****... look where they are without him, 6 points from 19 games no wins in 18 and less than 1 goal a game.
Firmino and Lallana should be amongst other things looking to create space for Origi or Benteke. No cleverness up front. Something Klopp must address.
