Dick the exchange of emails between Varney and RD/KM very interesting. But if it does not show that RD is here for the long term I don't know what will.
I think it's more that it's Peter Varney brokering the conversation. I have very little doubt that should he receive a realistic offer he would entertain the idea. I also mentioned the other day, and still believe, then when we are sold it will be a quick procedure similar to how he purchased it.
A word of caution, Rick is in Varney's pocket, and "Reg" isn't blameless himself in the recent history of Charlton's demise. Beware of worshipping false Gods.
I know Varney wanted to move us east, but isn't he still quite heavily involved with Ebbsfleet as executive vice-chairman? Without having any knowledge at all about anything I'd still make a guess that he is only being used as an intermediary, and could not be an important part of any new structure at Charlton because of the Ebbsfleet connection.
I agree that Varney isn't blameless, but the point is as an owner of a business why would you not want to find out what he has to offer? It is obvious to me that the liar Richard Murray has had a word in the other liars ear ( Meire) and due to their personal differences has blocked it. Murray should be doing what is best for Charlton. At least hear what Varney has to offer before turning it down. The Club has gone beyond being run badly. RD, Meire and Murray's arrogance and intransigence is taking us down the ****ter. If they had any love for Charlton they would resign today.
Agree BUT a united front for Demo purposes got to be good.We need numbers to attend a real big turn out so if Everet and his cronies can get numbers to attend it's good.
Rick Everet is only interested in making money out of the Voice. In his latest piece he said that time was running out, that after Saturday we are not at home again until the end of January. Why then did he not inform supporters until after the game on Monday about the exchange of emails between Varney RD and KM. I asked him via twitter why he thinks demonstrating outside the ground would be better than on the pitch at half time, I am still waiting for a response. Demonstrating before and after the game outside the West Stand will achieve nothing and I will gladly be shot down if I am wrong but if you want to show just how pissed of you are stop spending money inside the ground and get on the pitch at half time and stay there.
Let's not kid ourselves here. I was around in the 80s in the VP Days, these people - Everitt and Varney included - are engaged in more petty age old feuds than your average branch of the Cosa Nostra in Sicily. There are about 12 of them in total - they are all as bad as each other, Ricky E included. They are all petty, cliquey opportunists.
Not quite Late to the party as always, CAST have offered this afternoon to coordinate the various protest ideas via their website They have been drowned in bile n'vitriol from fans (I plead guilty) who asked them how quickly they would be passing the info onto Katrien. Laughable
Never in a month of Sunday's would our supporters do that, admittedly we did it in '85. I'll watch you do it from the West Upper and then feel sorry for you that you have been given a banning order for a few years.
Firstly if we supporters from all 3 sides enter the pitch on mass then there would not be much anyone could do about it. Second if RD is still here at the end of the season I won't be going again so a banning order would have no affect on me
