Do not be mistaken - this is not about the revenue from the matches. It's about our team being disrupted & disadvantaged more than other teams. The FL are in place to ensure that every team they represent - yes, represent, they don't own fcuk all - are all treated equally & given the same chance to perform as every other team. No favours, no impediments. They certainly shouldn't be keeping secrets from the people they represent.
You could easily argue that the other way. Say Leeds are on live 10 times and Rotherham once - Leeds will get £1M more in tv revenue - hardly fair on Rotherham! - and what secrets are they keeping?
You forget about lost gate receipts let Rotherham have the extra money.Good job you haven't had 10 live games as you don't have any fans to lose.
I am thinking he missed the decimal point on the test result looks like it must be more like 8.0% than 80.0%! As I said last year perhaps he actuallly joined Densa?
Didn't see you correcting me then, Einstein. Either you didn't know either, or you're slipping up. Probably slipping up. You are knocking on, after all
No point anyone trying to correct anything you say, no matter how wrong you are you never accept it (thats why it's sooooooooooooooo funny)!!!!!!. Do you want someone to knock you up a certificate? I see a rich vein to be explored with this, a thread of certificates for each poster..... If someone gets it rolling i will pop up with a couple of less obvious ones!!!!b
How i see this argument of Sky showing Leeds too much is that the Football League have sold their members down the river by agreeing that Sky call the shots and have the games that they want when they want. I'm sure when the first TV deal with Sky was introduced every Championship club were to be guaranteed coverage of at least one game before the new year and one after the new year, surely a maximum would had been put in place as well?, logically up until the new year no club should feature more than 6 times(3 at home and 3 away), so far Leeds have featured 9 times and Forest and Derby are 8 and 9(not sure what order). So it would seem Leeds,Forest and Derby are Sky's blue-eyed boys who they like too feature, however only Derby are challenging for promotion and Forest and Leeds are doing just enough to keep out of relegation danger with occasionally having a biy of a sniff of getting to the play-offs. The football league need to negotiate guaranteed more coverage for the likes of Preston,MK Dons and Charlton and no more than 8 games(4 at home and 4 away) for their favorites, up until the end of february, when its clear whos in with a shout of promotion and who's making up the numbers.
Very sensible post, Ringo, & I agree with you. Be prepared to get shot down by the Cellino bile-spitters on here. Tin helmet time There should also be reasonable notice of changes to the fixture list. Tickets already sold should never be invalidated by a Sky whim. The poor fans who spend money on train tickets, hotels, negotiate days off work etc. are not compensated. Absolutely ridiculous. The FL are supoed to be there to protect the fans & clubs. They seem to think getting a big paying tv contract is the be-all & end-all. Shame on them.
Brighton have achieved the highest viewing figures this season and it turns out there's not a massive difference in viewing figures between most clubs, the numbers are tiny compared to any Premier League game...
You do. unless its changed its something like £130k if you are the home team and £50k for the away team.
Just before christmas a Leeds fan i work with was fuming about games being changed for Sky as because of the Wolves game the Preston game was put back until the sunday, the Forest and Derby changes also messed his and families plans up as season ticket holders. However the other end of the coin ones that pick and choose their games were over the moon of saving 30 odd quid because its on the telly.
So when Chesh said Leeds were view by 200,000 more than anyone else per game, he was telling porkies - who would have thought it eh
