Howson did anticipate the situation very well, but credit should also go to Mbokani, who made it difficult for the CB to get an effective header. Mbokani could have a big impact in the second half of the season. He has 3 goals in 6 games so far and if he can carry that on for the rest of the season it could make all the difference.

 

Micah Richards pretty much ignored Howson too, which helped!

 

It was a lot like watching Olsson defend.

 

Richards even looked at Howson and did nothing lol.

 

Ha. I stand corrected. That's probably worse than outright ignoring him!

 

Watched it on MOTD and they pointed it out, must say it was good to see another team make silly errors in defense for a change.

 

It looked like Richards has completely given up. I though he would be a good signing for them. But I also thought he should be played at RB

 

I thought he looked good as a defender when he played for Man City. Could just be because their whole squad is lacking confidence and not playing well.
