Good Morning Everyone, Fair play to the lads in White last night. They really stood up to be counted. They are a different side to to trash playing under Rosler and Redfearn. Bellusci, though he did not play last night seems solid, and although prone to the odd mistake, it is to be expected at this level. Silvestri is looking sharp. He has cut out most of the mistakes, and has made some very important saves to keep us in matches. Wootton. Someone yesterday compared him to Tom Lees. Perhaps! He goes about his job quietly and has been efficient in the last month or so. Doukara. When was the last time you saw him give the ball away? I don't think he has. Byram. His spark is back, but will he stay or will he go? Dallas. Mr consistency. I'd love him to have more shots at goal. All we need now is some firepower up front. There were rumblings on twitter last night that we were trying to sign Patrick Bamford. We all though what he achieved last season at Boro. He has been restricted to just 6 appearance for Palace this term. I'd love to see him play for us. Thoughts? On a down side, w are now 9 points off a play off place. If we can turn a few more of these draws into wins, then you never know. We played the division's in form team last night, and we matched them toe to toe. I'm trying not to be bias, but I think if anything, we shaded it. M.O.T
Morning Elland and all... I am not expecting top 6 so I am happy with the progress, I just mentioned in another thread that Byram and Wootton are our most improved players under Evans closely followed by Dallas so although I dislike him I can't knock the improvement. It is a shame that Byram looks set to go and Bridcutt will probably be snapped up by another team just as we are starting to look settled and I wish the Lafferty link would go away. Wood a hamstring injury, not good news when he finally managed to get a goal. His general play has been good, just his finishing that is poor. I felt Bamba could have also done better in regards to their second goal, I personally prefer Bellusci
Morning Elland. A point, even at home, against a side likely to be one of the two autos is a good point. More to do. But we have the chance of 3 really easy points on Saturday. So let's hope we do and do something about our goal difference. In Evans I trust. MOT!!!!!!!!!!!!
If Wood has a hamstring meaning he'll be out for the Dons match, that's actually good news. Means Evans will have to look at a 4132 formation with Antenucci & Doukara up front. This should ensure both will be keen to impress to help keep their place when Wood is fit. So who knows what will happen?
The Bamford link was because he terminated his own loan with Palace and went back to Chelsea. He either thinks he has a shot at a strikers role with Costa being out and Hazard not a front man, or he fancies going out again into the championship? Wood isnt yet prolific but he works his socks off and gets in the right position, once he clicks he will be good, or he wont and he'll be a player who should have .... Evans to me has been the best thing at he club since Grayson, I'm chuffed we got him and his passion and drive is all over the club now. Well done fat man.
Morning ristac, Wootton's improve is really noticeable on yesterdays performance. It was a simple goal by Wood, I would have scored it, but he does up in the right places at the right time. I'm wondering if Sharpe was still playing for us whether he's get a look in? I agree with you regarding Bamba. He was nutmegged also for the first goal, then fell over.
if you have kippered saturdays result with that the Mrs aint going to be happy. She is missing shopping to come along!
Morning Doc, however we look at it, Wood is not a 3m player! Yes, I like Evans too. It's a shame he doesn't have the look of a more serious Manager. That let's him down.
No, they're named after women because in both cases, they take your car and half your house with 'em!!!!
