No he didn't. he said Preston was full of West Stand types who didn't want him to stand even though there were plenty of empty seats further down.
I love Filey, but he's wrong about those who were sat all game yesterday (almost the entire centre block), us West Stand corporate types were allocated tickets at the back of the left block and everyone I recognised from home games was stood up there. I reckon the sitters were all Lancashire plastics.
Yes,my apologies .I misunderstood that he was at the Preston game. He's still inconsiderate in my eyes.
Good, because we absolutely have to win this one as we don't want a gap opening up between us and the top two.
I was a sitter... I'm sure the two old dears behind me would have loved me to stand the whole game and block their view. A lot of people towards the front were families and older folk.
There are circumstances that lead to people sitting and I'm not suggesting that people should not be considerate of people around them, we just seem to have far more sitters than many other teams.
Our away supporting demographic seems very different from a couple of years ago. It seems to be the norm now for the majority to sit quietly.
Was sat behind the goal about halfway up . I always stand when at away games , but was asked by man behind me to sit down within minutes of the game starting . What gets me is that he was probably 10 years younger than me . I went to 10 aways last season and did not sit during the game once . Would have expected yesterday to have been diehard standup and get behind the team types and not sit and watchers .
I admire your support but it's probably not a great idea to get a seat that's 'half way up' if you want to stand, eventually you're bound to piss someone off.
Consideration works both ways. I asked some young men to sit down at a Spurs away game a few years ago. One of them suggested we swop seats. I didn't see any problem so moved. I was happy, they were happy.
You really do talk a lot of bollocks. The circumstances are that folk buy a seat and many, or some, expect to use it. Let go of BP, it's gone. I attend games in many venues and the majority want to sit and watch the game; might be sad, but it is a reality.
The best support is at the games where everyone stands, I appreciate that not everyone wants to and some can't, but it doesn't change the fact that it's way better when everyone does. And it still happens at some games. We should be allocating tickets on the basis of what you want to do, standers at the back, seated at the front and everyone's happy.
Spot on Fez. We've all known for some time that Bruce has no ability to adapt to game conditions or single out opposition players for special attention. Our players are confused, our manager is clueless, and we have no innovative strategies from the Fat Man. Look at the job that NP, for all his surliiness has done in turning Leicester into an exciting attacking team, which Ranieri is now building on at the top of the Prem, while we lose pathetically to the Championship bottom dwellers. And yet there are some on here who claim there is no alternative.!!!!!! Ffs is Bruce really the best we can do...really?????????
It all puzzles me. The owners are naive and always have been, but I honestly thought our support would have learnt better. Bruce is terrible and we should get ririd asap.
