Unless we drop like a stone dramatically that's the way it'll stay. If we don't go up, then it'll change & I think it'll change to an extreme of 100%!
Interesting - Any idea approximately how big the poll sample was? To be honest I'm surprised at the percentage wanting Bruce out - I thought it would be lower than that.
I think you are being a bit harsh, there is no doubt there seems to be a mentality problem with the players who seem to think with these games against lower placed teams they just need to turn, that needs to be sorted out. As far as performing against teams in and around us we do perform on the whole, OK Derby were just the better team when we played them. In important games against better opposition we do seem to turn up and generally play well. At least in the cup final we gave Arsenal a game which is more than Villa did this year in the final.
It's a Twitter poll, you can only vote once on each account and I doubt any non-City fans follow Rick, so only City fans will have seen it.
In that case I'll go with the majority, I always do, whether I'm in agreement or not, it's the democratic way. I was only sat on that rickety old fence anyway.
We are all tossers who don't think like the Tickler apparently, I'd like to think I was a half toss rather than a full toss though as I was backing him until about a month ago.
Time that somebody set up a neutral poll on here, i.e. not me Hat Tickler or anybody else who is a gobshite
It won't make any difference, unfortunately. Bruce needs to give his ****ing head a shake, along with all of the squad members heads, that's the only thing that'll make a difference.
WOW. 616 people voted. Hardly the vast majority of our fan base either. You think what you like. No logical reason to want Bruce out. The league table shows he is doing fine. However there is always room for improvement in 2016.!!!
Will you revise your opinion according to league positions then if we drop down, seems like a strange criteria to measure success in this league unless you are in the top two as the four next end up in a crapshoot cup format
Yes! I thought the tables had turned after the Burnley match, only for the Preston game to disprove that one. I just think settling for play-offs is wrong even if for some it seems enough, it doesn't make you a gloryseeking Prem era bumlicker but a realist. I can't for the life of me see us going up via the play-offs at the moment if we end up in a play-off position
No doubt about it, it's a very tough call either way whilst we are where we are. I don't see us dropping away but I also don't think we'll run away with it either, it's not going to be until late on IMO that we find out exactly how this season is going to end up, which means we will probably average around 2 points per game, whether that'll be enough for automatic or not will greatly depend on other teams as well.
The thing is Bruce often refers to 'the tickly bit' at the end of the season, and to be fair he really hasn't fared very well during that particular part of the season. The season we went up automatically was, in the end, largely thanks to a freak result at Vicarage Road, yes we'd gathered enough points to be in second position but if Watford had won that match we'd have dropped into the lottery of the play offs. Last season we didn't do too well either in tickly season as is well documented, I honestly think that Bruce had marked Leicester down as one of the relegated sides, which would have obviously seen us safe, and he and the team took their foot off the gas, and once momentum was lost... This season we appear to have hit the tickly bit incredibly early! Serious question, other than the obvious five match run have we actually gathered and maintained any momentum at all this season? I would love for us to go up, and with Bruce in charge, I just can't see it, and by the time it's a reality it could, although I seriously hope not, spell the beginning of our financial meltdown. Happy New Year.
