Thats not the game i watched. Lesser teams, Weaker teams etc etc do people expect teams to not have a shot on goal or create chances against us and we should steamroller everyone?? ****ing hell.
Maybe? But it's Xmas and there must be something better that they could be doing with their fingers then typing Bruce complaints?
I had no complaints at all yesterday and just want to see it continue, I don't understand peoples mentality when they think one win and everything is fixed though. It could be that things clicked yesterday and will keep on clicking but they certainly haven't been. There is nothing wrong with thinking that a squad like ours which is set up for the Premier League should be battering teams like Rotherham and Leeds, and not squeaking through v the likes of MK Dons and Reading. It's sad that a few people can't see this for an honest opinion and come out with nonsense like 'how long have you been supporting the team'.
My issue is that after we lose the entire team is broken and we should replace Bruce. There again I don't understand why some people refuse to blame the players. Sometimes we lose because simply the other team try harder. We have no divine right to win every game. No one does. We won yesterday because the players, picked by Bruce, played well together. Bruce's subs helped create another goal. I agree 1 swallow doesn't make a summer but equally 1 magpie doesn't spell destruction and disaster. People need some perspective. We are Ull. We will win some, we will lose some but I still firmly believe we need to stick with Bruce and we will go up.
Fair comment. Yesterday will give everybody a boost anyway, beautiful goals too, even Clucases third was a nice enough strike to pick out the top corner
For me, yesterday showed a lot of promise. I just wish we'd run at defenders more, every time we did that, we scared the ****e out of them and either scored or looked like scoring. Hopefully we'll see more of that. The only things that really irritate me is our inability to beat the first man on a corner, or the way we do throw ins!
The most interesting stat about wins by more than one goal isn't City's tally: Derby 8 Boro 11 City 9 Brighton 0 The last time Brighton won by two clear goals was on 3 March!
Once again I completely agree with you Bo. I'm over the moon when we beat teams like Boro and Burnley and score THREE goals in the process. And then we go and lose to LEEDS and Rotherham ffs, and barely scrape by against Bolton...the absolute worst. In those games the team looked totally unmotivated and just going through the motions. No game plan, no innovation, no new plays, same old same old!! That's the job of a good Manager....to get his players UP for EVERY game. Bruce has failed to do that. Its the lack of consistency of a damn good squad that drives me nuts!!! Seventy years ago, when I started watching the only team I've ever supported, those skinny men in long baggy pants, who looked like they needed a good meal, were a ten year old boys heros. They played their hearts out in the mud and the rain with a leather ball that weighed a ton and never shirked a tackle. And all on a miserable 10-20 quid a week. They arrived at BP on their bikes, buses, or walked. All we supporters ask is that these players with their fancy cars and girlfriends and wages that most of us only can dream of put the same effort in as those old lads. That our multi-millionaire (13 million I'm told) overweight manager does what he's paid for and motivates the team!!!!
Unlike the Leeds and Rotherham games we cannot blame Chuba Akpom for the loses after his missed chances. Akpom was actually onside for his goal @ PNE. Shame the linesman to our left had such a mare when it mattered most on 2 key decisions. If he had done his job correctly we would have snatched and grabbed the points. However over the full game the best team won. I was annoyed more about Hayden not getting a start in place of Meyler who should have been rested for the PNE game.
I can't believe you are blaming Akpom for the losses against Leeds and Rotherham, one player does not a team make. Have you not thought he might have missed his chances under pressure after we were losing the games thanks to Bruces tactics and team selections maybe? I don't even like Akpom either!
A player with his ego not to mention where he has been for most of his career should not be missing chances like that. Any player at any level of football should be putting those away. Akpom needs to learn how to finish otherwise he has no future @ Arsenal never mind Hull City imo.
You might want to watch it again dipshit... http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/10112770/preston-0-1-hull
