Apparently the FL have contacted Leeds 'for their observations'. They only need to read through their mail. Cellino has been at odds with them for some time. He is on record as asking to see the contract between the FL & Sky, but has been ignored by the FL. I'm right behind him this time. It's not madness - he's right to challenge these morons. They are there for the benefit of all FL clubs. No other reason supersedes this. Any club should be able to review any contract signed for 'their benefit'. The FL are simply administrators to manage the common good for all clubs - secrecy & lack of transparency have no place in such an administration. It's like the taxman taking any sum of tax he likes from your wages, and telling you that he knows what he's doing, it's in your best interests, and no, you can't see the workings.
Open your eyes jock. As a member of the fl we agree to abide by the contracts and agreements the fl enter into. The bigger picture is: Just like pie tax this is a desperate stunt brought about becaue of a cash flow crisis at our club. Typically Cellino is just looking for something elseto blame other than himself and his failed business model. He kicks sky out, but will surcharge (£5). anyone who now tries to buy a ticket on match-day.... Hope fans start to boycott games..... What he is really saying to those of you who don't go for whatever reason is, you shouldn't be able to watch games..... Are you happy about that? Of course his lightweight lower midtable shot shy team of second raters that have nothing to play for has nothing at all to do with dwindling attendances?
The rules allow for the league to postpone the game, or award an away win, they can even deduct three points appartently. It's obviously not going to come to that, but them's the rules. Leeds haven't even had the most televised games, Derby have had the same amount and Forest have had more. Cellino's bonkers.
Yes, heard that as well. Think he's miffed about the Brighton away game, originally scheduled for the 27th Feb, now moved from Saturday to Monday night.
So you're saying that the FL are unaccountable and should never be challenged? You approve of contracts being struck without the members being privvy to the details? Surely you must recognise excellent stewardship for what it's worth without having to turn it around to enable you to spit bile aginst the man you hate? Is your name Blatter?
It's simple... Don't like the rules, don't buy the club thats is in the league.... There is a time and a place for sorting out this sort of stuff, and the day of a game isn't it. Irelevent now, as he was told to STFU and his legal advice is he will lose if he dont let sky in..
What's to challenge? Since the new deal was signed, attendances have risen and all clubs are getting much more money. Also, who says members were nor privvy to the details? They were all invited to attend the meetings - Cellino was one of 4 Championship chairmen that chose not to
So why is he (or any other Chairman for that matter) not allowed to see what was finally signed. Who knows what was agreed, or if any of the Chairmen were actually listened to? Very masonic contract.
Fine if you're actually allowed to see the all rules. FL won't release the contract with Sky to the involved 3rd partes that make up the FL. Hardly transparent or acceptable business practice, is it? Or do you like the FL messing us about? I think it was an excellent time. Certainly got the press inches. Says who? I personally believe that he knew he was working within the rules by DELAYING access. There are no timing stipulations in the FL rules. There may be in the contract, but how do we know that if we don't get to see it? Cellino has actually gone up in my estimation!
Skillfully missed my point. You a tory cabinet minister? Did they get sight of the contract before signing it off? We all know the answer is a resounding no. Are you going to say yes & astound us wth some detail? No.
Why would they get sight of a contact that is fook all to do with them? Its between Sky and the FL They have no right whatsoever.
I think you'll find that this is the point he's trying to make. They SHOULD, as 3d parties, have access. Remember, the administrators in the FL are there to serve the common good of the FL members. How do you know if its for the common good if you can't see the contracts?
