Thats okay mate, we are mainly talking about the Original movies and the Prequels at the moment And stop dragging your heels, go see it
Lol its OK I've been skimming any star wars posts, I'm likely to watch it online when a decent copy is about, I'm cheap and I like to smoke weed during a movie so rarely go cinema. Plus there's like people there and I'm not too fond of people either ha
This I understand but out of principle I pay for movies I will enjoy, unfortunately, you end up paying for **** movies too, in this case, **** movie, I hope at least the weed is good
Overall I think the prequels were Crap because we expected the same quality as the original trilogy. If they had come first it would have been greeted indifferently rather than with scorn. *Spoilers ahead* The new film probably would have been ok if the previous 6 didn't exist. The whole "empire completely defeated... But not really, here it is again. Rebels win... But not really they're rebels again" makes no sense. Then there's the whole "it takes years to train to be a Jedi... No wait... It only takes a second of being mind read by another Jedi". If 7 was the first movie made most of the plot holes wouldn't be holes... It would be just what they are. Yeah Rey is a little too good at everything. Mechanic... Sure. Piloting a ship she's never seen before (and never been in space before anyway since a small child)... Sure. Fighting with a lightsaber she's never held before despite fighting someone trained with one...Sure. Evading a thousand storm troopers to be found immediately by Han looking out a window. Ok... ... Those are all silly... But it's just a movie not a documentary. Its the completely tearing up the rules just because you want to that makes it Dr. Whoish. Who always does that... Inevitable doom? Oh we'll invent some new magical technology that didn't exist before out of the blue to save the day. It was done with this last star wars. It was done with the Star Trek reboots. It kinda cheapens those shows because it means you can never have a moment of tenseness or ever feel like anything bad is permanent because the director just changes the rules of the universe at a whim. Heck. Maybe Solo was caught in a force bubble instead of dying and will be brought back to life. Being fair to the new movie though it wasn't bad despite my criticism. It was OK. Effects were good. No slow spots. Actors were mostly decent. Rey probably the worst.
Yeah I will go if it's a film I know without a doubt I will enjoy, matrix, lotr trilogy being the last two I went to the pictures to see, but still sneak in my own beer and snacks #****thesystem
The part in bold is my only real quibble, the rest is nitpicky. She is a mechanic and pilot. Well she scavenges ship parts for a living and spends all her time in ships, so it stands to reason she would know how to fix and fly them. The evading stormstroopers, a little convenient perhaps but by no means out of the realms of possibility. The ending though, was weird. I wasn't too keen on her suddenly becoming a kick ass Jedi without an iota of training, maybe more stuff will come to light on her character in the next film to explain that, maybe not.....who knows. One unexplained oddity, its by no means a flawless film. But I can overlook that for entertainments sake I suppose, though it made it drop from a 9 to an 8 for me. I still liked the Rey character despite that, or up until that at least. Still nothing like the constant gaping flaws in story and logic that plague the prequels.
I still think any adult who was vastly disappointed in the prequels that then never got to see a star wars movie in the cinema without saying they ruined it won't care. Han solo and Chewie rule...
I didn't much care for Han or Leia this time around. They seemed a bit dated and their roles seemed thrown in almost as an afterthought. Might have been better without them. Could have left off that stale "Kylo... I am your father" angle off the movie.
LOL leia's face..... she certainly was an after thought. I mean no mention of how she ****ed up and ended up in rebellion. I thought it was Republic planet plus rebels (still 30 years on) and this new lot which managed to build a death planet that eats suns despite not actually being in charge apparently.... Yeah... not quite a great role for the Princess. Han was completely central though.
One of these days the bad guys are going to figure out it doesn't make sense to build death stars that are so easily destroyed.
Sorry this post isn't about Star Wars. I've just started watching 'Making a Murderer' which I'm finding strangely addictive, anyone else watched it?
Watched Legend last night (Tom Hardy as the Kray twins), quite good actually although I am in to that sort of thing too mind. Watched and read loads on the krays.
For those of you who know MASH sad news that Wayne Rogers, he played "Trapper", has died. There again he was 82 so a good innings.
Good news then. A 720p HD copy is floating about..... Apparently.... No idea if true, just seen it posted on xmbc community. Edit -Star Wars The Force Awakens 2015 720p X264 HDTS – FiNGERBLaST (VIP & INTERNAL) That's the one, private trackers only though.
YES. I've got one episode to watch then I'm done. Loved it to be honest, but also found it so frustrating. So corrupt, literally criminal what they've done/doing. @BringBackFootie. would love it. Have you seen it?
Trust you to post a Fingerblast rip Had you stayed true you'd not be in the paternal mess you are in now How's the babby? Sleeping lots I hope For the love of god dont put any pictures of van Gaal in your gaf, you'll traumatise the kid
Trust me, you'd love it. You'd crucify it. It's excellent to be fair. A documentary filmed over 10 years about rape, murder and corruption. The 'Avery Trial' - some may remember it. Well worth watching if you like real life drama.
