I expect Cellino to back down, but if he gets no joy, later in the season if 3 points make no difference to going up or down then I would support him in keeping the camera's out.
If Leeds were still a big club like you said earlier it wouldn't be a problem. When Newcastle played in the Championship a few years ago they were on tv 6 times more than any other team yet smashed the Championship attendance record. Last season Norwich were on tv the most and had 2,000 more per game than Leeds
The only one's to lose out are Leeds fans that can't get to the game though - why would he want to piss off his own fans?
See the SKY ratings TC not 2,000 or even 10,000 more watch Leeds games, but over 200,000 extra watch the games.
Would it piss off his own fans ? I don't know, wouldn't piss me off, would just get me out of my chair and make me go.Home comforts are very nice and the beers cheaper, but the best days are when you make the effort.
Whats that got to do with what anyones saying? They are saying there will be less people at a particular individual game than if it was not on tv. Or do you think there will be more there tonight if the game was on tv than not?
If you read the thread properly you would understand exactly what it meant - please do so and stop asking stupid questions that have been answered several times earlier
Arsenal | 15 Liverpool | 14 Chelsea | 14 Everton | 13 Tottenham | 12 Man Utd | 12 Man City | 12 Newcastle | 11 Leeds United | 10 Derby County | 10 on tv more than 12 premier league clubs, yet we only get a fraction of what they get.Cellino has a point but getting a points deduction at this stage of the season is not worth it.LATER MAYBE ! ps can't find millwall on the list at all, don't know about no one likes you, think no ****ers interested in you would be a better quote.
Not little enough to get an invite for that one m8,you have to be **** as a condition of entry.Which is no problem for millwall.
The TV fee is £100-120k, depending on what day it's televised, it's fixed, it's not a matter of opinion.
TC said we aren't a big club anymore, just pointing out over double the next best viewing figures. What do you think that says then.Do most people watch the smallest clubs on your planet then.
You get higher viewing figures, hence you get a lot of games televised, you expect them to pay to televise games not many people want to watch? You can't have it both ways, you bang on about Leeds being a big club (despite you personally having absolutely nothing to do with Leeds, other than randomly picking them to support), yet moan when that means more people want to watch your games on tv and being paid handsomely for the right to show those games. Bleating about **** all, you wouldn't find a Yorkshireman indulging in such nonsense...
Totally missed the point sky make their money from showing live games,a lot of money is involved and some of the teams contributing the most to sky's profits are not getting their fair share.Cellino has a point, you might not like it because your present club are one no one cares about.
