Well u might be right. The team is out of confidence, but the best form of defence is always to attack and keep opponents pinned back in their own half. Our build up play is so slow and once opponents start having a go at us, we are bound to concede goals even if we have the best defence in the world. I think the manager should be thinking of scoring more than the opponents. It is very worse right now that the team is out of confidence. And I wonder why he keeps schneiderlin on the bench and play Carrick. Carrick is a good passer, but he's not got the bite to win balls in the anchor position like schneiderlin. Whenever schneiderlin plays, he makes more interceptions than any player in our team. Yes ha had abbad game in one of the CL games but not enough to drop him when he is fit. Still our best defensive midfielder. It should be schneiderlin and Herrera/scweinstergger in midfield.
One thing I will give LVG credit for is his arrogance (required to be the manager of a big club) and being unbelievably thick skinned. That is, if he does actually walk the team out at OT tomorrow!

I don't see anything happening (either jump or push) until after the Swansea game on 2nd Jan. The games are too close together for a push (disruption) and he will see it as a last chance before the jump. Would be strange if it happens after Swansea, they could be the first and last team to beat him (and do the double over him twice).
It's always funny watching teams Van Gaal is unable to get us scoring against conceding a hatfull the week after we've played them. Happens week after week. What an absolute failure Van Gaal is
To be fair that was the worst possible result long term. A win at least would have got us three points and edged us closer back to the top 4. A loss gets the coward the sack. A 0-0 draw against a toothless Chelsea, and let's not pretend that it wasn't the limpest performance at OT by a Chelsea side for years, and he can hide behind a "good" result and a "good" performance. Watch the game back and it was like a training exercise with Chelsea not allowed to press the attacking team, just defend deep, and only allowed to attack on the break.
Well he's said on the telly he's not going to walk. So much for doing the honourable thing If he isn't going now he never will. He's seeing out his contract regardless of his failures, he's said yesterday.
