  3. I know it's only MOT but the Everton v Stoke game looked like a cracker.

Some fantastic finishing on display too. Shaqiri's lob on the keeper (meant or not) was phenomenal!

Shame someone had to lose. Equally disappointing that it was decided by a wrong decision too.

  4. Walcott should have scored about six. Very poor from him.

Oil's looks like his old self again now. Arsenal's best player so far this season imo

Goes to show that even a world class player like Ozil needs a bit of time to adapt.

Just because you don't like my opinions doesn't mean they aren't honest

Funny how every Manc (except UIR) now agrees with me that Van Gaal is ****e but that doesn't mean I was right, just a complete coincidence

Just for fun, how many of my honest opinions of other teams (from over a month ago) do you disagree with?

    From 22 November:
    • I hope Leicester keep it up but they will probably drop out of the top 4
    • Man Utd are ****, will drop a lot of points second half when their luck runs out against decent opponents
    • Man City should have enough for top 4 despite Pellegrini
    • Arsenal are only an injury or two away from total #meltdown
    • Spurs look like they can get top 4
    • West Ham look like they will fight Everton and Southampton for 7-9
    • We can easily get top 4 if we sort out our home form

We need to sort our goalscoring problem if we are to challenge for the top 4 this season.

And to do that would require keeping Sturridge fit for the second half of the season or signing an attacking player or two in January. Both seem unlikely to me.

I think cutting out stupid errors in defence will help us more.

But agreed that attack needs improving as well.

    It's simple enough.

    1. Leicester need to prove themselves tonight. They have enough points at this point to either sit back and think they've done it or they can kick on and go for it.

I think they can get 70 points so that means they can get top 4.... the question has to be about attitude.

    2. Mancs? Can they get 70 points? I think so. Right now no and if LVG stays and January is wasted they may well not. They were top not long ago. I 5hink 4th is the very best they've an do.

    3. Spurs. I think they will get 3rd at least and have all the elements to push on.

    4. Arsenal.... will get dumped out of CL and if ozil stays fit can win this league. They've all the elements except depth in key areas

    5. City... irrespective they've the best first 11 but kompany is toast and Aguero is yet to come in. I think they will be 2nd

    6. Nobody cares about palace west ham or everton. Who are Southampton anyway....

    7. We will get 6th at best. I've said that already per Nozzer.

I don't think they players have bottle or are fit enough to play Klopp's game consistently enough to go on a run of 8 games to catch up.

All areas need improvement and not one player is up to the level Klopp wants yet I think

Both seem unlikely to me as well. I imagine Klopp will just spend more time trying to develop Origi and integrating Benteke and Firmino into the team. We could also really do with more goals from midfield on a consistent basis. The only ones who score are Hendo and Coutinho, and they both tend to get a couple in a couple of games and then got for weeks without scoring again.

Goals will come. Even with an attack that is ravaged with injuries and disjointed as ours, we have stilled scored quite a few goals.

No doubt Klopp will get it working soon.

We haven't seen Gegenpressing yet ...

It's not just about attitude - it's about injuries, confidence, sales etc. as well. And even with the attitude, it's also a case of perspective. Now that they're basically safe, they may be thinking "Come on, we can go for this!", but given that they've already achieved their main target for the season, anything else is just a Bonus really, and they may (naturally) just be lacking that 1% or 2% that was there before. And that could make the difference.

I think just about everyone really wants Leicester to do well - they seem like a likable club and players, and they're defying the odds playing decent Football for much less money than most teams in the league (even if the owners do have money themselves). All credit to them.

Compared to other teams our defence isn't doing that badly, we're like 8th on the list or something of goals conceded. Not great but not terrible either.

Our attack is woeful though, we are around teams like Man Utd, Newcastle, Stoke, Sunderland etc. on the goalscoring list.

Its a terrible mixture not being able to score a lot of goals and having a habit of throwing soft goals away.

Very inconsistently though. A couple of games with high scores, then several with low scores. I'm not sure I see that changing much for the next couple of months at least.

Is that a worry? Klopp's been there a little while now.
