I spoke to one of the U21 players Dad a while ago and he said Lookman was going to sign a new contract.
No reprieve from me. We're being forced to rely on youngsters who should'nt have that sort of responsibility thrown on them. Mismanagement writ large. It's great how some are playing, but I remember some of our youngsters being booed off after bad defeats, and that is bad by the fans, but worse by the footballing organisation that built such a thin squad.
Our youngsters deserve their place in the team. Lennon- better than Sarr, Holmes - Dennis better than Fox. Lookman- As I have said many times before he is going to be a star. Solly, Cousins, deserve their place. We need reinforcements in January if we are to stave off relegation.
I watched the U16's beat Palarse 2-0 on Saturday ............ they are a good little team and we should have a few good players coming into the U18's next August. We have two skillful centre midfielders who can take players on and beat them ......... I was quite impressed.
We've got some very good young players on the way and it's a crying shame that they'll only be used to balance the books. Roland's recruitment strategy won't allow us to buy the type of player to supplement our own products with a few quality players to get a proper blend. I'm afraid the chance to build a very good team will be squandered unless we can get rid of Roland and his CEO. The fact that our 3 best players on Saturday were Lennon, TH-D and Lookman, with about 5 starts between them tells you all you need to know. By their twisted logic RD&KM will trumpet this as a sign of success.
yes, Lookman will sign a new contract. Unfortunately, it will be with Chelsea in early January. You heard it here first........!!!! Shame that he will never get the chance to play in their first team; what a complete waste of a potential talent!!
I have no idea whether Lookman will sign a new contract with us or not. I do know he would be stupid to do so under the present regime.
There was a rumour that we may sell him for 2 million, last night on ITTV. I believe we paid the same for Naby Sarr. He has signed a contract, so we have no real need to sell a player who's value will only increase (under decent coaching of course !!!!) but despite Richard Murray telling the fans this was a thing of the past, it seems we can't wait to offload him. Great business acumen RD and KM. You really are useless.
