More common sense being talked on the last page regarding Bruce than I've seen on here in a long time. I would say ditto to many of these posts. Todays debacle was just another in a succession of totally indefensible inadequate managerial performances by the man, and if the Allams knew anything about football he'd be long gone. To rub it in Gray rammed in another three today and has 15 already. His speed and goal-scoring abilities would have dovetailed perfectly with Hernandez skill and hold-up ability. He had a poor game for Burnley against us on Saturday but what an acquisition he would have been with his best years still ahead. If Burnley dont go up this year his 30 goals will be worth a fortune to them in the transfer market in the summer. Another Charlie Austin....and even worse because the man has no injury problems. And all because according to OLM we delayed grabbing him because we were waiting to dump N'Doye and Jelavic wages ffs!!!!!!! If the second half of this season is as bad as last years we will be broke and heading for Div.1 next year. Bruce has to go NOW before its too late!!! Allams wake up!!! Its your money on the line. BRUCE OUT!!!
The biggest load of **** I've read today! Yes we have problems, no doubt & yes it's down to SB to sort it out, do you or anyone think he wants this? Do you believe the players want this? Of course not! Who do you replace him with? Maybe he should go, freshen things up, but unless the Allams think 3rd is bad then he's not going anywhere!
What a complete load of drivel. Its not a question of does he want it. Of course he doesnt. Nor do the players. Its a matter of has he got the ability to learn from his persistent errors of judgement in tactics and team selection. The answer is clearly no. On paper the best squad in the division is week after week being outplayed by and losing to teams which we should be beating handily because of Bruces sheer incompetence, tactical blindness, and dropping in form players for the likes of Akpom....Leeds, Charlton, Rotherham, now Preston, a 1-0 win over Bolton ffs. Who do you replace him with? Someone who has the intelligence to beat those teams, who does not continually fall back on defense and pull our strikers off the field in the last 20 minutes of games and throws away leads as he's done for two years, someone who can motivate the team. Yes he should go, and the Allams should realise Bruce is not the answer before we drift out of contention.
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...felt-two-horrible-decisions-went-against-hull keeps forgetting to mention his horrible decisions - anyone else think the ball was a yard over the line?
Its hard to say from that footage but at the game I thought it was over the line. As did the whole team.
A lot of people on here seem to disagree with you. They want players to have a "run out" or are worried that players will get injured. Some are worried that players get tired. I agree with you though.
You'd be one of the first on here complaining if someone like Meyler was injured last night and it was revealed he'd been carrying something from the weekend.
You change the team if you need to, we needed to, but the wrong changes were made. Meyler should not of played, Hernandez should have. These were the key and very obvious ones. The other glaring and very unprofessional error, in my opinion, was the concept of saving legs for a harder game at QPR. They are both away games, they both offer 3 points, they do not have the same quality about them, they play the same number of games as us. Killer instinct of a good manager could and should of kicked in, just like a hunting Tiger, we should have feasted off weaker prey yesterday, when we could. He is far too disrespectful to other teams and does nothing but blunt the cutting edge he has. He is being stripped bare as a manager, his team is glueing his credibility together, as are the failings of other, but inferior squads. Any player who claims to be comfortable with his selections and tactics is as bad as him and I reckon you won't find too many of those in our squad. Anyone who thinks it cannot get worse should look at Derby last season and realise how close we are to abject failure under Bruce.
Isn't that why Bruce said he made the changes? Again, I have no idea what you're even trying to argue anymore. We made changes because players had niggles and they needed to be rested. If they had played, they would have been in a position to injure themselves, which we obviously wouldn't have wanted.
But who would ever imagine that Gray was going to score any goals at all? Weren't we awash with strikers who wanted to play with us anyway?
They were definitely shopping in St Stephens, she posted a photo, they lived in Hull for years, it's hardly surprising that they'd pop back to see people over Christmas.
Who could have imagined? Maybe those of us who knew a bit about him and saw how well he played for Brentford last season.
So if we had all these players with "niggles" wouldn't it have been great if we could rest Hernandez and bring on somebody like Gray to score the goals. Don't tell me we couldn't afford him. Can we afford not to get promoted?
I think the point is about going to St Stephens. Or do footballers have to buy crap every single day?
He was ****e, their finishing was woeful, had it not been, they could have been 4-0 up at half time. He's a League One player, which is handy, as it's probably where he'll be playing next season.
