I remember that actually, he was probably a better player in his midfield position than Gedo was in his up front but never got a sniff, another bizarre one
Don't change it, change it, it's all a load of bollocks. Just pick the best team available to you to beat the team you expect to see in front of you. It's called team management.
For me nothing's changed for 18 months Strange tactics Square pegs round holes Poor but the same excuses This is not just recent, this goes back at least 18 months, he carnt change it, this is his ceiling. It's a shame because I like him but it would be best for a parting of the ways
It's a strange one. On our day we can turn the best over easily and look like we are a league below were we should be playing. Fast forward a few days and change the team slightly and it's as if we turn up and think our opponents will lay down and bow. Take today for example,Preston got thumped apparently at Huddersfield yet they came out like they had all had a final warning and did not give a chuff about us. City on the other hand laughed and smiled in the warm up,you just got the feeling they did not realise what the job ahead needed. Oh,and one final thing, could be old news but a bloke on our coach was going on about Chester coming back to City on loan ?
Sad. Was going to do one of those analytical in depth reviews about today like everyone else but eventually thought f*ck it deleted and typed this ramble. Haven't been home/away for more than a yearand haven't missed it at all and today reminded me why. Mate talked me into going big mistake. Dreadful game, dreadful. 30 odd years of going up and down the country watching City but now can't be arsed to get across town to KC. See the same old names on here and the same old comments. And the same old faces at the game today with the same old grumbles. Why. Why bother? those on the pitch don't appear bothered. Should be the best of times but its not. Generations of supporters being lost. Too many alternatives nowadays. F*ck it.
It's just because Chezzy's missus posted a picture of them shopping today in St Stephens, it's a bit of a leap to assume that means he's coming back.
We have been piss poor away from home And not much better at home Yet we are still in a decent position in the league. We are so NOT playing as good as we should with the players we have The buck stops at steve bruces door.. Am not anti Steve Bruce.. I had a good day today as usual win draw or lose. Would i sack Bruce... Yes......if we had someone else to bring in better. No if not. Hes failing ...even i can see that. Imo of course
There you go then, had a feeling it could be a speculation but you never know. If truth be known the whole coach wanted it to be true, but Chester is aPrem player now and good luck to the lad. Before I log off tonight,I would like to suggest we have a look in the January window for an experienced midfielder and big bruiser up front because unless Diomande pulls trees up, we don't possess any pace that can get on the end of our only plan B which seems to be..run after that or get your head on the end of this..one more point, our possession game we have at home gets snuffed as teams who have obviously had a look at us now push further up the pitch and rush our midfielders into surrendering possession. As much as City fans hate him,and I would imagine the feeling is mutual at his end, somebody like Frazier Campbell with his pace and composure really would help our cause but maybe it's a bridge to far . Tin hat on
The problem is, if he has to go, he has to go now, give someone else January to make changes, I'm also not Bruce out, but if he gets the January window, then he's here for the season. Simple as!
Changes don't need making, the squad is more than good enough, it just needs a proper manager to organise them.
Worrying. He must be fit now. Maybe they just think he's not that good. Akpom being ahead of him is not reassuring.
Frazier Campbell isn't a big bruiser. Also if Chester does come back on loan, which I doubt very much, Pullis will want one of our players in exchange.
It's pretty arrogant to assume we can win all our games and walk the league. Sat in the top three isn't exactly failing. It's all in context, and as much as we seem to be going backwards the championship is a hard and long league and there is a way to go yet. I temper my feelings with how I thought we were ok last match. On balance I am not panicking yet.
Allam doesn't know football so I think he'll look at the table and see we're still only 3 points off an automatic promotion position and see that as acceptable. Things will have to drift a lot more I think. Perhaps if City find themselves 8 points off automatic then Allam might panic.
When you can shop pretty much anywhere, why would you bother with St Stephens? It is absolutely toss.
