I've heard of something worse than that going on with his private life poor bloke. Not sure how true it is though.
No, what I mean is, with the age of Twitter. One person posts it with a #NCFC many different people would see that. So people could be told what they read from all kinds of people. Doesn't make it true. One of the negatives of twitter.
Sorry, yeah I get that, but I didn't hear it through Twitter directly or indirectly. Doesn't make it definitely true, but in my experience the guy is fairly reliable.
Oh really? Was that ridiculous luck? Or did Ruddy know him from (obviously getting perks) to probably a tour and meet the team. It was either a Random drunk, which is bad, but happens, or he took an insult from someone who thinks hes untouchable because of his father in law. In which case, I'd go for him, but then I'm not a professional footballer.
From what I heard, Ruddy knew who the guy was and was getting an awful lot of stick from someone who as you say thought he was untouchable. Ruddy obviously lost it, whoever the guy was, which seems pretty uncharacteristic of Ruddy anyway from what we know of his personality:. So I would expect Kemp is right that there is some personal stuff going on behind the scenes as well. Unfortunately it was the wrong guy to punch, but Ruddy seems to have got away with it from the police's point of view.
Going back to the topic as posted by the OP. I had until towards the end of last season, always been a fan of JR, but I felt that he was performing below his best for quite some time now (the West Ham equaliser was the 'last straw' for me!!!) and it was a massive call by AN to promote Declan, which has paid off handsomely. OK, I dare say he may have the odd howler in the weeks/months to come, but I don't really see JR getting a recall any time soon - though AN may decide to play him against Citeh!!!
I think Rudd has taken his chance well and is not phased by the PL so far. I'd be disappointed if Ruddy left because of McNally's son-in-law if that is true. McNally should be professional, not personal. If the police didn't prosecute, there can't be that much in it.
I didn't here it from Twitter, I heard it from someone within Colney. He's normally fairly reliable but then again he did once tell me there was no way that Dean Ashton would leave for Wet Sham
One thing that cannot have escaped people's attention is that unlike Ruddy, Rudd doesn't flap at crosses and commands his area really well considering he's not that tall.
He is a mere 1cm shorter than JR. They're both between 6ft2in and 6ft3in. Granted, Rudd probably doesn't have the 'presence' that JR has in terms of 'bulk'.
I have no interest in what JR has done outside of NcFc All I know is Rudd looks far more in control of his area and the back 4 seem more comfortable to set him up to kick At this moment in time Rudd for me with Ruddy to come back If he returned to Everton or some top end CCC team in the transfer window though I would not be surprised
