You think we should tone it down due to events in Norway? So why not tone it down due to events in Africa with the drought, why not shut the board for two hours to contenplate events in Greece due to the economic failings..Maybe a two minute silence to remember those who have died in the heatwave in North America.....

**** happens, there are freaks and wierdo's all over, the world is a mess.

Sport offers a break from the day to day crap most face, this forum is used by many to offer light relief from work or whatever.

If you want to talk about football, have some ligh hearted banter and the odd wind up..welcome.

If you wish to discuss the events in Norway, the drought in Africa or the current affair of the day..go elsewhere.

You said it has "religious overtones" which it shouldn't because violence has **** all to do with religion.

You're a bit soft. Perhaps on a bit of a moral crusade.

It is awful, obviously. But i'm not sure what you're trying to achieve by posting details on a football forum?

Nicely edited. As had been said, this is a football forum. If you're looking for intellectual debate regarding world politics then you might want to go elsewhere.

This forum might be a bit much for your fragile mind.

I never said close the thread down for anything, i asked for everyone to just satnd back so to speak and think what thy are actually saying in the great scheme of things.

Yes **** is happening all over the world, this is a bit closer to home, mass murder has taken place in what is a generally passive country, we actively help out with aid & resourses
all over the world to long suffering countries, and to natural disasters.

What happened in Norway was cold bloodedmurder by a facsist **** wit, it could quite easily of been in this country, now yes football is escapism, but for the mean time the events in Norway will be in the back of my mind.

I deleted 2 of my posts this morning after I read them back, they seemed trivial and almost infantile in retrospect. I like banter, been doing for more years than I care to remember, but think about it we all post some ridiculous things (at times) and get wound up to complete starngers on cyber space. just a thought!

The stuff on here is just harmless banter. So long as no-one is mocking the dead, tragedies etc then I don't think there is a problem <ok>

the man responsible for the events in Norway was both a facsist & and a Christian fundamentalist, that is what I referred to. I'm sure you do not need me explain the religous & political overtones in football?

He's an idiot who uses his political and religious beliefs as an excuse for murdering people, but no religion in the World tells you to harm others.

Religion has nothing to do with football either. There are just ****ing arseholes who use religion as an excuse to act like idiots, if they were to actually follow what "their" religion says they would never harm anyone.

There are also people who use their support of a football club as a reason for kicking a rival fan's head in.

People are the problem, not religion.

So a racist fruit loop goes on a killing spree..big deal. Isn't the 1st time, won't be the last time it happens..get over it.

Until people globally, stop trying to make excuses for this wayne kerr's it will happen.

Personally i think all religion should be banned, as its a crock of ****e used to control the weak minded.

There is no doubt about the fact that there is something seriously wrong with the guy. For whatever reason he is messed up. It has very little to do with religon and more to do with mental imbalance. To feel nothing as you shoot people, thats a psychotic condition, also with Crfuns a lot of brainwashing goes on too, we are pretty much programmable make no mistake

    We're not all weak minded!

I'm religious but I realise that there are things wrong with the church and I don't agree with all of the attitude of my religion. I am open minded and follow science as well as my beliefs.

Unfortunately there are a lot of idiots who give religion a bad name, and the media don't help by making out that murders have been caused by religious beliefs, which is bollox.
