Oh ****, now we got to spend a few days hearing how wonderful Spurts are and how our bubble has burst. God how I hate those blue & white cretins.
Annoying but our ten men were not overawed. Shots our 9 to their 10; on target 1:3; corners 5:3 but fouls -our 11 to their 13 and yet we had four booked and a sending off to their 2 bookings. Who says referees are not one sided
Must be a hard one for you to take, in all honesty. Thought we edged it until the red card, then you organised well and caused us lots of problems on the break. The goalline clearance from Lloris couldn't have been any closer to a goal and you still could've equalised after we went ahead. Flores has done a superb job for you this season and it'll be interesting to see what he does from now on. Nobody will want to play you, that's for sure. Good luck for the rest of the season.
Thanks - but Son was offside wasn't he? We played almost better with 10 men - but credit your guys for fighting - you would not have won this a year or two ago
Question: as goal line technology was used to check if ball had crossed line before Lloris had clawed it back what would have happened if it had ruled indeed ball had crossed line? as in the time it took to display it hadn't Spuds had scored so although ref would have been notified before screen message displayed it begs question did he know it hadn't before Spuds goal and if not would he have disallowed their goal if he was told afterwards?
I thought that he was offside from the initial cross, but I haven't seen a replay that shows it well. Thoroughly agree about the fight from our players. We'd have lost this in the recent past.
Still seething. The officials were absolutely appalling, but not helped by the gamesmanship from the Spurs players. Britons was not a booking, but the reaction of the Spurs players, including Kane sprinting 100 yards to remonstrate, definitely swayed the ref. Same with the red card. Happy that we easily competed with a top 4 team, even with 10 men, and but for an offside goal would have come away with a point. But I hope we never, ever see that joke of a referee (and his assistants) ever, ever again
Think we had all our bad luck today! Excellent performance after a slow start including the sloppy 1st goal. Red card looked harsh and we were unlucky with the Spurs winner - we looked more solid with 10 men and had the chance to win! Way football goes at times.
