Sorry, thought it was a sensible chat rather than a wum ... I'm off to watch us try to lose to 10 man watford
... undoubtedly ... but the concern must be that you'll spunk it on 6 or 7 players of whom only one will establish themselves in the first team ... and you'll make a £15 - £20 m loss on one individual ... named Bortadoughnut or something similar
as a highly respected manager once said "I didn't see it" Lucky win in the end...should have been a draw in all honesty but what a clever goal from Son. Weird watching spurs...we are decent defensively, show a bit of steel and are getting lucky ... all very unspursy!
To answer you seriously ... I think spunking the £100m taught us a valuable lesson. We have trusted young players, are finally letting a manager dictate what he wants, are showing patience with players (lamela is developing into an excellent player, both in attack and defensively...look out for his goal saving tckle on motd tonight) and are not prepared to buy for the sake of it so I can't see us repeating that particular horror show again Well not for 2 years or so
I know...you must be as miffed as I am happy! Always seems unfair when something goes right for Arsenal
Sometimes, those results where you just edge it in lucky circumstances are an even better feeling than tonking the opposition.
"Pochettino thinks Kane won't be sold at any price ... but has he squared this with Daniel, the third Trotter brother" No, but Pochettino knows there is always the chance he will become manager of a top La Liga side just after they have paid a shocking Levy tax to sign Kane.
Really love how newly promoted clubs have done so well...palace, watford, Bournemouth and yourselves have made this the best season in premier league history imo. Apart from Villa it is difficult to know who will win or lose a match...no doubt the plastics who run the premier league will bemoan united and chelsea doing poorly and will be checking the rule books for ways to impose points deductions on them to restore the natural order. Then there's stoke...seriously...how entertaining are they? Everton, though inconsistent can be a joy to watch.
I'm loving how the Spurs-hating media are so casually carving up our club, but tapping up players to media favourite, United! It's almost as though these so-called "professional" pundits cannot see that Spurs are a club in the ascendancy, whereas United, like 'Pool, are a club very much in decline. As with 'Pool, players will not want to go to United. Okay, so they might not come to us - not just yet - but I am confident that we won't lose a single player to either United or 'Pool, unless we decide that that player is no longer needed at Spurs. It's heartening that PIXiE, Treble, CFC, and Fossil are trying to wum us, because it demonstrates the fear that burns so fiercely inside of them!
... take Gavascon for any indigestion (masquerading as 'fear' lads) ... Cillit Bang to clean up HIAG's usual rim splashing
"I'm loving how the Spurs-hating media are so casually carving up our club, but tapping up players to media favourite, United!" Been over 7 years since such an event has happened. In the era that I believe geologists call the "Poool repeatedly finishing above Spurs in the PL" era. And as you may be aware, geologists are used to dealing with samples that are millions of years old.
