Halfway through the season and Chelsea are on 20 points, 3 points off the relegation places. It's the sort of form that will just about avoid relegation if they were to continue playing this poorly. They are 9 behind Stoke West Ham and Watford, 11 behind crystal palace and 19 off the top of the table. We have almost double Chelsea's points with half the season played. They have been truly shocking.
Spurs were let off the hook today. Watford gifted both goals to Spurs. A definite penalty on Ighalo completely ignored by the ref, who seemed intent on trying to help Spurs win the game. The sending off was debatable and the ball 4/5th over the line was a literally an inch from Watford going 2-1 up with a minute to go.
To be honest, whether it was lucky or not, fact remains that they are 3rd in the league and are only 4 points behind us with another 19 games left. If Leicester and City are being dubbed as title challengers then Spurs are in the mix as well, for the time being.
