    Pochettino thinks Kane won't be sold at any price ... but has he squared this with Daniel, the third Trotter brother, who has a habit of selling off quality goods before replacing them with copious container sale bargain 'tat' ?? ....

    He'll stay half a season, 18 months tops before going to United

    Spurs and reality rarely go hand in hand, the spurs "shadow" we all live under, the norf London Power-Shift, and keeping Kane all being great examples of this alternate reality

    Every player in the world has a price.
    I think that the OP might be about to find our exactly how some teams work when they want a player, too.
    The selling club ends up having very little choice, in my experience.

  5. Kane to United!
    <laugh>

    Thanks for that, lads!

    Honestly, though, it's great that the fans of so many clubs fear us. Clearly Levy, Poch, and the lads are doing something right.

    Here's looking towards a very long and bright Spurs future for Kane, Alli, Dier, and all our other magnificient young charges!
    <cheers>

    He'll go for big money next summer. Levy won't be able to resist making a big turn and getting another pat on the head from Grandad Joe.

    I think he'd be ideal for Chelsea who probably won't think twice about throwing a couple of hundred million at re-building.

    ... the selling is one thing of course (although West Brom and Everton have perhaps demonstrated a 'power shift' on that front) .. the reinvestment quite another ... I'm confident enough, given our scouting network and transfer decision making recent history, that we are far less likely than some clubs to be Sold-a-dodo for £30 million ... when we can get gems like Vardy, Mahrez, Kante and Fuchs for less than £10 million combined <laugh>

    Time will tell. Having a good run in the transfer market for a couple of seasons doesn't mean that you'll continue to do so in the future.
    The £30m-odd that you've spent on Inler, Benalouane, Okazaki and Kramaric doesn't seem as good value as those you've name, for example.
    Not necessarily bad players, by any means, but not the bargains that the others have proved to be.

    When clubs know that you have money, then they raise their prices.
    When big clubs know that you're successfully scouting players consistently, then they start to monitor your scouts.

    Spurs are a selling club, they have demonstrated that time and again over the years. Their best players end up at big clubs, because Spurs can't offer them the chance of silverware or Champions League football.

    This year could be different though, as they have a golden opportunity to get into the top 4 with Chelsea and Utd doing their best to avoid it. If they don't bottle it, then I'd expect Kane to stay until next summer

    ... the big difference is that we can sell those players on for as least as much as we bought them for (indeed I suspect we'd make a tidy profit) ... and I certainly haven't given up on any of them yet ... Okazaki already doing OK ... the other 3 just need to grasp their opportunities ......

    Can you? We'll see if that's true if and when it happens.

    Okazaki probably wouldn't be much of a financial loss, as he's done quite well and has shirt sale potential, too.
    Kramaric had other teams interested in him and his value probably has gone down too much, either.
    I doubt the other two would go for what they were bought for, though.

    ... doubt away ... Inler looked the best technical player on the park when the Swiss played England ... we've already had interest in Benny from Italy ... it's not like we need to recoup £20 or £30 m on either player ... absolute confidence that we could sell on tidily ... we even managed to sell David Nugent on for a profit ... <laugh>

    When Levy eventually sells Kane to a big club, he can placate the Spurs fans by telling them he's improved their net spend, appease his master Joe Lewis by making him even richer and award himself another 1/2 million pound pay rise. Whilst all the time, Spurs win nothing. The only winners at Spurs are Lewis, Levy and ENIC <ok>

    Inler's a good player, but he's also 32 before the summer transfer window opens.
    He won't be moving on for big money, in all likelyhood.
    Fabregas, Nasri, Sagna and a host of other ex-Arsenal players say hi. <ok>

    Good to see that you're not refuting the fact that the only winners at Spurs are Lewis, Levy and ENIC <ok>

    I'm sure that's exactly what I said. When did you start working for the Daily Mail?
    Stop being so angry because you got slaughtered by Southampton. You've got a nice, easy game today, so relax.

    It's up to Kane surely???

    If Spurs make top 4 he seems like the type of local boy who might think he can be a part of something big... IF Spurs make top 4.
