I expect fat Sam to get 10 behind the ball and Coates to play like a star after being God awful in the last games. We got a huge advantage over other teams who are forced to turn around from boxing day to this which is pretty much mad imo but it is a non work day I guess If we can turn around and out work sunderland it will prove our players are just not fit enough. Hopefully we will scrape a win and turn round and whine about having less time to prepare for the weekend one.
Weird thing is after playing Sunderland on Wednesday, we then play WHU away 12:45 on the Saturday! West Ham get almost a week to recover while we get 2 days... Is ridiculous scheduling, why not make us the a game on Sunday if you want it for TV and move one of the Sunday games to the early Sat.
Because it gets even worse after that. We then play away at Stoke away on the Tuesday following (2 days rest) and then away at Exeter on Friday (2 days rest).
But we get 2 extra days now... we could have thrown the league cup if we'd wanted to. I see no reason to moan about it personally. West ham are too tough for our lot anyway
Away at Exeter is the worst type of game we could have. Quite a bit of travelling to a club who will be desperate to out do us After this run of away games, we then have back to back home games against Arsenal and Utd
Randal smith Teixeira allen... etc etc etc. We should get there with cover this one I ain't worried about.
I don't really know how this will go to be honest. They will likely defend for their lives and if they do I can see us struggling to score and we are ****e at the back. It would surprise me if they didn't score. I'll tentatively go 2-1 Liverpool but would accept 7-0.
Yes but Utd are not a target. City are 5 points further on in 4th. There's a huge gap to 4th now really. The talk pre festive period was kicking on and we lost two badly. This means this game is 100% must win to even think about 4th. 5points to 4th should be our thought and 9 to 1st not where is Utd.
Flanno is making appearance for under 21s today, first appearance since coming back from injury! Be be great to have him back in the squad as competition for both Moreno and Clyne.
