You're right. Feel sorry for those poor migrants being forced to live with a bunch of wallies. Still could be worse, they might be forced to live in Bermondsey and attend matches <laugh>

I must admit I didn't want to hear what he had to say, the only way he is going to win me over is with more team performances like that. When I hear what he has to say it usually gets my back up so I exited on a positive <ok>

Edit... Don't know why I thought you had said this to me, realised 5 minutes on it was aimed at LL

    Hey'up LoL,

Agree LoL, we all have our different preferences and likes which makes for good friendly debate........:emoticon-0148-yes:

I personally can't see point in doing with Wood what Redders did with Morison, it's not a step forward imo but stagnation.

If you discount the 2 penalties Wood has scored, he's on same number of goals as Ant this season, but Ant has played considerably less game time. Having said that, if memory serves, hasn't Ant scored 1 from a penalty this season? I'm not sure without going back and checking, based on those stats you're right, it looks like nothing much will change, but if you give Ant the catch up minutes I personally think Ant would go ahead of Wood in the goals count, that would remain to be seen of course.

I just can't see point in persevering with a striker who ain't striking, therefore is hampering our chances of climbing up into the 6th spot; we all want promotion, we all want to get into top 6, I just think Woods lack of ability, and/or confidence is hampering our push/chances.

Virtually everyone is talking about bringing in a prolific striker, but do we need to continue playing Wood hoping he'll score, and if he gets a goal do we wait another 4 or 5 games before we again hope he scores another one.

We've played 23 games, that's 1 goal in every 4 point whatever games from open play (2 penalties aside of course), we then complain about having only 1 or 2 shots on goal. We can't complain and still want Wood to play, it doesn't make sense; opposing teams strikers all seem to do a lot more than Wood does for us.

People call for Wootton to be dropped, but prefer Wood to keep playing, that for me is a bit hard to make sense of.

All we can do now is see what happens over next 10 days or so.

Easy to see why the radio is your preferred media - if Bellusci was not totally at fault for the goal I would love to hear what you saw. Silvestri was very good today but his "teammate" was such an embarrassment some may blame the keeper. Good attempt to blame Wooton or Cooper because with radio commentary that may work but you, having played at such an outstanding level are going to do brilliantly explaining how Bellusci stepping forward in THEIR half with the ball going over his head is anything other than garbage. Over to you!

Ps on Wood, listen to what Evans said at the end

With respect we played well but the season finishes in May and we will do well to slowly be chipping away at tenth by then with that side

Woods finishing at present is woeful but Evans is limited in what he can do. He inherited him and is clearly trying to improve him by boosting his confidence. It's already worked with doukara, Byram and others. Antenucci is the other alternative but also can hardly be described as prolific. Some of you are hoping to sign a prolific striker in January. Clubs do not sell their strikers if they are prolific, certainly not in January and most certainly for the peanuts we'll be offering. Therefore I believe, we'll have to hope Evans can get Woods confidence up and hopefully an improvement in his finishing will follow

Has it ever occurred to you that Evans makes his team selection based on what happens on the training ground? Do you think Wood's confidence situation, or the desire to play 4-1-4-1 are the only factors he takes into consideration?

I think you should make an appointment to see Mr Cellino. You're clearly miles ahead of that clown Evans. We need a real manager like you that knows better than these fcuking 'professionals'. What do they know, eh? <doh>

I'm not so sure Marcus. I'm as critical as many when we're bad but that's not a bad side. If we do finish tenth anyway, it wouldn't be a poor season

I'm ok with that too - tenth compared to what was on offer a month ago is utopia. Just really want someone with a bit of ambition to touch our club and we all know it could fly but anyone who looks at today's side (including substitutes) and think anything other than mid table is realistic is a dreamer. I would pick ten men and leave Bellusci out and can't believe we would be any worse

LL, not disagreeing with your assessment on Wood, just don't think Ant is any better, I guess that's where we differ. I don't think Ant will be anymore prolific to push us to the top six. You could be right but from the game time Ant gets It appears Evans doesn't see him as the answer either.

You are a sausage, albeit a clever one. If we had put Jimmy Adamson at the end of a wireless instead of in the dugout it could have been so different

If we drop Wood and play Antennuci as a lone striker for a few games we will, at least, have the thrill of a proper relegation battle to look forward to

Forest goal, what was Silvestri thinking? allow him in the box then he could of used his hands and arms, does that outside the box.....Red card <doh>
Bellusci, clueless, him and Cooper have to communicate more or try a different partnership.
Wooton, got through a decent amount of work.
Cooper, decent game, just needs to learn italian or **** Bellusci off.
Taylor, not going to get excited over him, wont be with us much longer
    Murphy............taxi.
Wood, very directional, needs to move along the back line more and pull defenders around.
Byram, had a good game put a shift in, now in the shop window.
Cook, poor game by what i have seen of him this season, but you are allowed the odd one.
Dallas, looks ok, would like him to run at defenders more and whip crosses in.
Bridcutt, has certainly made a difference infront of the back four, seems to read the game well.

To have 65/70% of possesion and just a couple of shots on target is not impressive reading, Wood and Ant should have put one of there chances away, but a point with Hoods men is not too bad, and they gave our next opponents the run around a few weeks ago, Tuesday is going to be interesting to see how far we have come, it shall be a good test.

MOM...............has to be the fans, top lot we have.
