just read that Sam Byram the Leeds rb is in last year of his contract. We've been heavily linked with him in the past and he's highly rated. I know we have 3 right backs on the books but let's face it they are all gash. Another full back in the last year of his contract... Mr Marcos Alonso. Head and shoulders above the bone idol ****e we have at lb currently. Cb Lamine Kone, dont know much about him but we are clearly interested. Looks big strong and athletic, something we lack at centre back. Forwards. Sebastien Haller. As above a bit of a gamble but another player we've been looking at. A player I'd want us to bring in, Mo Diame. He always seems to have an instant impact and gets a few goals, we have no one like him and its evident how short of quality we are in the middle at the moment. Who do people want us to bring in realistically?
I'd like us to go in with a double bid for Diouf and Walters from stoke, Niether are starting games, both will help us retain posesstion higher up the pitch which is an absolute must at the moment. I'd be happy with the defenders and midfieder you mentioned fella. I count 6 needed. I'm ****ing dreaming! Short won't allow the transfers of 6 players who'll improve us.
PVA is bone idol? What the hell have you been on this Xmas. He may be deficient in some areas but bone idol he ain't
So he was flat out in closing down his man when caught way out of position for the first goal? He was lazy, had no urgency in getting across. The result? All the time in the world to whip in a pin point cross straight onto the head of a Midget.
Man city are in for Vardy for £30 m, just like that ! like asking Pel to nip out for a loaf of bread , makes me puke where the hell are our even £15 m signings ? we are rubbish to be honest, they cannot get close to players I saw Everton and Stoke do it on sky, what the hell is wrong with these players ?
Manchester City have owners with infinite money and Champions League income you numbskull. Jesus. £30 million for Vardy though? I'd say yes on Mahrez who is young and will continue to improve, but if Vardy keeps this up for more than another year or so I'm a ****ing budgie. Leicester should be snapping mittens off.
Good shout. I'm a fan of Diouf, was gutted when Stoke snapped him up on a free (where were we). Not the best finisher but strong and quick and would suit Allardyce. Our fans would take to Walters as well. He's versatile and again would suit Sam's style. Sure i read he was in a contract dispute because what Stoke offered him was a fraction of their top earners. Stoke will be looking for a "next level" striker so Ithink we'd stand a decent chance with Hughes probably wanting to move a couple on to up his budget and free up wages
Walters wants a 2 year contract at age 32. Stoke will only offer him 1, I'd give him 2 years me. If we went down he'd be a great player for coming back up and if we stay up he's a solid squad player allowing us to focus on first team quality targets and in the meantime he improves us(shows we've gone backwards). He can player striker, AM and wide, he's strong and works his ****ing balls off for the team and probably available. He may not be next level or one for the future but he'd bring a lot to the table. He'd deffinatly be a realistic target for me.
If we cannot get the quality we need to put the U21s in. F*ck the overpaid prima donna's who have extracted the urine out of both club and fans for the last few seasons. Put the bairns in. If we go down we go down fighting and we have some players who at least have first team experience for the championship. If the U21s pull off a miracle and keep us up they will have proved their worth.
This is a bit out there but I'd love us to go after Eran Zahavi from Maccabi Tel Aviv. He's a great attacking midfielder, with a fine goal scoring record. He's got great movement and can open up defences in a blink of an eye. He's just what we need right now. I like the look of Kone who we are going after from Lorient, although admittedly I'm only going off you tube videos. He seems composed, strong and has plenty of pace too. Surely can't be worse than what we have. I wouldn't be sure of Sam Byram as a right back, in all honesty. He looks more suited to playing further forward than he does as a right back in a flat back four. I'm not sure he's the man we need right now.
Our squad are abysmal, but I still believe we have to off load a lot of our no hope'rs. Who we get in will show SA's ability as a manager, as I believe we virtually need to replace most of the squad. We are desperately short in defence, creative midfield and upfront, however I think we can bring back Pickford which will strengthen one department the only need 2 fullbacks a centre back, one defensive and 2 creative midfielders and a fast striker who can hold the ball up. Not such a tall ask. However I think we will probably get one or at best 2 in but it will be as usual just before the window closes and we will pay over the top in our panic.
We`ve been trying for years to get rid of our ****e. Nobody wants them, and for good reason. If Short says we have to sell before we can buy, we`re ****ed.
IMO Several things at fault with that goal 1 M'villa gave the ball away cheaply (to kollarov) 2 Coates came out of position to try to win the ball in midfield 3 Gomez also moved into right of the centre circle leaving space on our left 4 Coates could not get back in time to defend the cross from their left meaning Jon O'shea had to cover the attacker at the near post this left Bony unmarked in the centre of the penalty area 5 PVA correctly had to tuck in to mark Bony 6 When the ball came out to our left wide open space as there was no cover in front of PVA Granted he did not bust a gut to get out there but he was not the only one at fault
Sam has now seen enough of our deadbeat bunch to know there's no combination of 11 of them that's any good (yes, pessimistic head on), so he must have told Short this and given him an enormous list, and Short must know it's the only chance we've got. I hope. Incessantly.
Give them away, we are never going to recoup our losses on their transfers so may as well try and cut the wage bill and with a bit of luck the other tossers that stay may get a wake up, although I doubt it as you can't wake the dead.
