He's selected Fellaini ahead of Schneiderlin for the past few matches. No doubt some bollocks about feelossofee and match rhythm.

The guy's a ****ing joke. People making excuses for him need to start following netball.

Schneiderlin runs forward far too much for Van Gaal's liking. It's funny that LVG prefers to use a Moyes signing above one of his own <laugh>

    ... an impartial view ...

Martial looks like a superb prospect for me ... but he needs to be played where he will do most damage and not to 'accommodate' a sadly misfiring Wayne Rooney... I know who our central defenders would rather play against ... I'm not saying Rooney is finished as a player ...could see him in central midfield perhaps with younger legs around him ... but he now appears to be lacking something; be it pace, mobility, desire or plain technique as a front line striker at this level ...

Rooney needs to play in the role where's he's always been most effective, which is behind a main striker.
He could work a good pairing with Martial, as the youngster's a lot quicker than him and they would seem to complement each other on paper.

The problem with that is that Mata's an expensive, older player who then wouldn't have a role.
He's far less useful when he's moved out of his favoured position and his weaknesses come into play more, too.

United clearly have some very good individual players. They don't appear to have the right balance at the moment, though.

Rooney's been equally **** as both the striker and the support striker.

Tbh I don't know what the mystery is with Rooney. He was never going to have a long career at the top was he? Never really looked after himself properly for a player at the top level. Drinking and smoking isn't the way to go obviously.

Rooney as a footballer at the highest level is finished imo. However, what still allowed him to get goals was playing between the lines. The trouble is, when your d1ck of a manager plays crab football in front of the opposition's defence, the well organised teams set up two banks of 4 with no space inbetween which in effect starves Rooney of his natural strengths as a forward (or number 10).

Now these subtle understandings of your own players is clearly too much for a lovestruck fanboy like UIR to comprehend because he's far too busy poking around in the dark up Van Gaal's ar5ehole to see anything clearly.

Still good for England in qualifiers. Sign Kane to get him going again??

Rooney always scores against us and we are **** between the lines so today can kickstart his season

No idea why Fellaini is playing bit he's not playing ahead of schneiderlin. Carrick is, of he was v Stoke anyway. Which was a terrible call

Anyway, BFS and Schneiderlin today please
