Nah. Bruce is right. A tired Hernandez is bloody useless, we've seen it enough times. It's nice that he's identified it and will be making changes. I'd bring in Maloney, Snodgrass and Diomande for Diame, Elmo and Hernandez.
Nice. I used to really dislike him when he was at Leeds but this makes me feel more comfortable about supporting him.
This would be Bruce all over. If he intends playing Hernandez at all, you say to him 'win us the game in the first half' then come off. Or do we bring him on when we're trying to win the game late on or worse, the other option.

I would make a lot of changes, we have a big squad. I thought he was being a psychopath leaving until 80 mins to bring anyone off with another game so close but him being on about resting players makes it make a little more sense, although I bet the ones who came off will be the ones rested. I'd go with this, though I think there's a decent chance he'll start Snodgrass and give Elmo a rest. If Hernandez isn't starting, I might turn round and go home, we look toothless without him.

Snodgrass for Elmo seems the most obvious change. Maybe Hayden or Huddlestone might come in for Meyler. I wouldn't put it past Bruce at all to bring Maloney in for Abel and start with no strikers, tbh.
Clearly he's buttering us for the following changes: Akpom in for Abel Hayden in for Meyler Elmo to RB. Snoddy in at RM Huddlestone in for Diame Resulting in an overrun midfield, 1 chance for Akpom to mess up, a missed Maguire header from within the 6-yard box and a defensive blunder leaving Mcgregor with no chance. 1-0 Preston and normal service on here to be resumed.
