It's success given the circumstances I've already outlined, and it's not just a one off, we've been up there consistently for several years now.

Whatever Fulham and Middlesborough may or may not have achieved in the past, neither has ever been consistent, and it ain't doing them much good now!

Incorrect. We've won the CC cup twice, as have Leicester, I believe. Although, in your case, the last time was 15 years ago!

... I think you are taking my posts too seriously ... I'm merely taking the opportunity to give that plum of yours a little perspective ... God help us all if you ever do achieve any real success ... his resulting verbal diarrhea would give the Cumbrians nightmares ...

Agree at last then! ... we've had equal 'success' over the last twenty years ... now let's both go after the big boys!!!

PS I don't regard ours as phenomenal ... good perhaps .. enjoyable yes ... phenomenal ...nope.

I think your relegations and time spent in the third tier might be a slight dent in that success, though! <laugh>

... those relegations did of course lead to Title winning season's in both League 1 and the Championship <laugh>

... on Robbie Savage I have no justifiable comeback <grr> <laugh>

i'm all for going after the big money boys however because all those clubs above us have more money to throw.

Spurs are quite high on the list of teams have thrown about the cash though... If it wasn't for all those bloody Sheiks, and Liverpool <laugh>

To be fair, 5th is a 'phenomenal success' for a club like Spurs.

It's your average finish over the last 5 seasons and an improvement on 7th for the preceding 5 seasons. The 5 seasons before that Spurs average finish was 11th.

Overall though for the whole 15 year period Spurs average finish is 7th/8th, so you can see why HIAG celebrates 5th like winning the world cup.
