People moan when he scored an offside goal against Bournemouth

Then moan when he doesn't score an offside goal against Leicester

What I liked about the performance yesterday was the way we took control of the midfield, especially in the second half. Before the goal was
scored we had 10 or 15 minutes of domination and you could sense the goal coming. Good signs <ok>

That, or me genuinely genuinely expecting a 3 maybe 4-0 hammering after the direness down at Watford

it is what makes him him.... he wants to take it down on his chest not head it... he wants to pretend he can cruyff turn like lallana.... he takes risks.... he went to ground in the opposition half with us 1-0 up yesterday late on and i'm looking at him thinking... are you in anyway aware of the game situation... is it such confidence in himself he cannot see the disaster he can cause?

I mean he only needs to look at lovern early in the season for a guy who did make a disaster...

BTW he lashed up the pitch v watford and let them chip it into his side of the pitch for their second... skertl then ****ed it up too but who gets it.... skertl...

Everyone loves a warrior code and all that but he needs to be a part of a strong unit too. compare us to watford that day. the watford back line was so tight and organised we were never scoring.

Sakho had a couple of brain farts on the ball but his overall defending was very good, especially considering Vardy and Mahrez both operate on his side.

Sakho's chest down is brilliant. He's done it a lot this season and it comes off. He tries to play the ball - we need more confident players on the ball.

Won't always come off and he was very fortunate yesterday but overall Sakho is brilliant on the ball and even better defensively.

He does need to learn how to use his right foot. Painfully one footed.

Are we ignoring the one yesterday in this arguement? Lol

And the Arsenal one he should have scored, decent keeping but shouldn't have given Cech a chance to reach it.

Let's continue the love in for Hendo and Can.

Thought both were brilliant. Arguably the best CM pairing we have.

Just seen the highlights. Wtf was Benteke doing at the end, reminds me of a few weeks back when he was put through against someone. Literally a ****wit, if that was Suarez he would have just turned and hit it from miles out, Sturridge probably would too and Ings would have likely passed it for someone to have an open goal.

Thing is won't always come off is find for a coutinho but for a cb that equals a goal

So he needs to show game awareness... know there the opponent is and when to do it... as in when he's got cover. A good side should press the hell out of him.

Dunno. It was piss poor. I don't think saying x player or y player is of any use.

As I said yesterday I think it's a confidence thing and he needs some backing.

It only needed one touch and slam it home you are right.

They are the best we've got but both need and can do a lot better by actually not hogging it at times.

Both will improve under klopp I think by quite a bit. This is only an early showing imo so far under klopp.

    What like felliani v stoke..?

The point remains he's our leading scorer and a good option to have so the name calling and childishness should be called for what it is ;)

Some players can't think quickly enough, that's his problem. He takes 1 or 2 more touches than an elite player would in the same positions. That means defenders get that extra second needed to get over and cover our players runs or to cover the space he wanted to go into.

It reminds me of watching Andy Carroll at Liverpool.

Great comparison. He is like Carroll, but with a better finish. Benteke is a good player and I just don't see him ever being suited to our style. He will never be a great player though.

You're right - he was caught. But apply the same pressure to anyone and they'll struggle. If you're afraid of giving the ball to Sakho, then we'll have no one who will try to play the ball out of defence. Lovren misplaced the ball a couple of times without any pressure on him.

He needed to be better on the ball but let's not make this out to be a regular thing. He's the best defender we have on the ball by a distance and I include Clyne in that list as well.

He's exactly like Carroll - he's been just as disappointing and is at the point where he will be praised for every time he doesn't mess up.

But not to worry - he won't be here for much longer.
