If you have BT Sport 1 they are doing a re-run at 11:00.

I think that's a bit unfair on Cuco. As it came out there was the briefest hesitation before he decided to try a shot. The technique with the outside of the boot showed that he intended the swerve - and if you watched the warm up one or two players were trying Similar shots. Ok they won't all go in but you 1 in a hundred analogy suggests it was fluke which it wasn't.

Three highlights for me yesterday. Long's performance was first class. The Aussie fans who came over for their first game were well rewarded. And lastly, with the game available to 100 million via NBC in America, that will have done our profile no harm at all!

I don't doubt he meant it. But he could go a lifetime and not hit the sweet spot like that again.

I'm not calling that a fluke; but we needed our luck to change, and with that magnificent goal it finally did.

It was all about the timing. Maybe it is something they worked on, in training, although some of the other efforts showed that other players were still rushing their efforts, and as a result mis-hitting them.
At the time it didn't look as though he put any effort into it, and I must admit I was looking to see where it would hit the advertising boards, when the net stopped it.

The only problem now we have the right-sided Roberto Carlos playing for us:

Can we hold onto him in January?

Just imagine how different Saints history and folklore would be if, say, Ali Dia had banged one in like that!

Congratulations on your win yesterday and, more importantly, on your performance.
A complete change from last week's loss to our lot, when your players appeared to lose fight after going behind.

Koeman seemed to have worked out what went wrong and addressed it perfectly for this one.
Long's pace, work rate, mobility and fight offered far more than Pelle's knackered looking run out in the previous game.
This may have been down to injury, as the Italian didn't seem right at all.
Sticking Ward-Prowse in seemed to give Mane more space and freedom, which he exploited very well, too.

Great response to a bad result and a poor run. <ok>

I haven't wiped my nose with the back of my hand since I was in short trousers. It seems the Americans can't use cutlery and the French can't use handkerchiefs!

We should also petition to ban Moss from refereeing our games. I mean, he disallowed two regular goals for us.

I actually used to live just north of Stockholm about 20 years ago (well, my parents did anyhow). Was staying at a friends in Karlshamn in the south, near Malmö this time. Lovely but got whacked by norovirus on Christmas Day. Still feel awful now.

It's just me being contentious, Saint D :emoticon-0105-wink:

I thought the team were amazing - how they kept it up for 90+ minutes I'll never know, but it's incredible what some confidence does for the team. I was being picky, yes, but I really would love to see Mane really going at defenders every week, because he terrifies them. Too often he's off on the flank and then gets shepherded out. But I'm not complaining - if we play half as well as that tomorrow we'll get something.
As a long term Saints fan though, of course I'm always concerned that we'll go into the game thinking we're unbeatable and going down to a mediocre WH team. I hope Ron keeps the confidence up but warns against complacency!
When Graziano's fit put him on the bench and bring him on when Mane and Long have run themselves into the ground.
JWP was excellent and was that man Davis (aka - the man wih no final product, according to some). Well they sorted out probably one of the best midfields in the PL last night.
I always believed in the team (and the manager - not only the manager, mind you) and last night proved we can do it. We march on ........ <party>
