Junior just mentioned that it might be off, we'll have to wait and see, I don't like Preston (the place, I'm indifferent to the team).

I'm getting messages from pals in Rossendale, Manchester & Salford all asking for swimming lessons. I'm guessing the River Ribble must be close to bursting along with the others.

Well if you're going to a picky ****y bastard, fine then, £59,350,000.00 to be a bit more precise.

What an earth shattering difference that is <laugh>

And there you have it, you really don't get it ....... we're Hull City, a provincial, middle ranking football team, we attract middle ranking managers and middle ranking players, middle ranking players make mistakes, have off days, same goes for middle ranking managers - if they didn't have off days and the occasional howler they'd be playing for top ranking teams and not us. Because, in the big scheme of things, we're middle ranking we sometimes lose when we'd expect us to win - that's the fun (or it was) of supporting a team like City; other middle ranking teams are gonna catch us on one of our off days, or heaven forbid, be better than we are and beat us!

That's why we lose, but, some of the modern football fans need to BLAME someone for us losing, ''he's lost the dresing room'', ''he's tactically naive'', ''he's not good enough to play for us'', ''he's too slow'' ........... blah blah, we lose because unlike Bayern, Barcelona and Real Madrid etc we have no divine right to win, it's football.

I used to go to matches and listen to witty, and usually abusive chants aimed at opposition fans and players, sometimes we'd win, quite often we'd lose, we didn't like losing but no-one was on such mental highs or lows as they are now - I go these days and find myself surrounded by expert analyists and the terrace pundits who like to rip apart the maker of a wayward pass or mishit shot, my days of enjoying football have mostly gone, the future belongs to fans like the joyless, moaning, whinging ****er with the caveman avatar and his ilk.

I've only read the first sentence or so, and I agree we have mostly middle ranking players.

    For the ****ing premier league.

From your opening I assume you're going to bang out the old "we were **** 15 years ago" which is no better than weeds fans thinking they deserve to be champions league contenders. Same ****ty logic. The past means **** all, it's all about the present.

You should have read it all, it wasn't better 15 years ago, I enjoyed it more, but certainly not better - we were lower rankers, now we're middle rankers in The Championship .......... no divine rights, middle ranking Premiership? You're having a laugh Hat, we were relegated, we didn't score enough goals to be middle ranking P'ship.

Because our manager is a clueless twonk who could turn messi into a non footballers arsehole.

He could buy the current Barcelona first team and still get it relegated from the premier league. He built a team full of attacking talent and shackled them trying to make them all be defenders.

I'd agree with most of that, but he's definitely tactically naive, we're regularly out-performed and out-thought by lesser teams.

I'm sure Bruce makes mistakes, if he didn't, he'd be managing a top team - can we get a better manager? Probably, will he have the same type of results and get beat by teams we shouldn't ... probably. I don't support Bruce, I couldn't give a **** for a lot of the players, they're people doing a job for Hull City, a better job comes along and they're gone, it's the way of football.

If we ever get someone higher up the food chain who knows about football I think he'd be gone - I can't belive he didn't get the heave-ho after relegation?

We also regularly outperform the top teams tbf so I'd say it evens out.

He's got a decent record for getting teams back up, I can see the appeal of keeping him, to be honest I wasn't all that bothered either way. The problem for me, was that if he took us up he'd be retained and I don't like his approach in the Premier League at all. He was almost apologetic for us being there.

It's certainly true that our best performances this season have been against Boro and Burnley, but a team capable of beating it's closest rivals should be to tonking the crap teams.
