Just seen the Man Utd loss - what on earth is happening there? With a midfield of Carrick, Herrera, Mata, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, there's enough power and creativity there to have a great platform to create chances and dominate (for the most part they do) but they often look toothless. I know Rooney isn't what he used to be, but surely with him, Depay and Martial they have enough there to get through?

Clearly it is stemming from Van Gaal, in the beginning of the season they barely got out of third gear but was picking up wins. A well oiled machine, efficient. Now the performances are about the same (arguably better in an attacking sense when I've seen them) but the goals aren't there, heads are going down and key players are going wondering, same problem with us in many ways.

Mourinho would be a good fit for United - he'd do wonders with that midfield, and they need a motivator, and for me he can be that.

 

This is why Arsenal won't win the league

 

United are A pretty solid and disciplined team but the attack is toothless. And I don't think it's down to the players themselves - you need a manager who can set up an attack.

LVG was the same with the national team - pretty much playing on the counter and relying on a couple of world class fast men.
