Agreed, if we're fundamentally the same team (some have suggested it's a better team than last season's) then we should be better than the other teams in this division. Literally no excuses for losing any of these games.
Not at all, but we all need to stick with SB fully, there will be good & bad results throughout the season for every team, if we go on another 5 game winning run then lose to a **** team, it'll be all dramatic again for some on here. I understand their frustrations but if we go up then they'll have to accept that we deserved it over the season, same as if we don't, me & the others who have stuck by SB will have to accept that we deserved it & I'll quite happily say yes to Hat's Bruce out poll at that point.
But why would we wait until we haven't been promoted (if that's how the season will pan out) to sack the manager when we've got what we need to get promoted now? Just blindly standing by the manager all the time isn't a good way to be, in my opinion. If he does ****, he should be criticised, he isn't infallable.
Tonight isn't the time to discuss the merits of sacking Bruce, tonight is the time to bask in the glory of our victory over Burnley. For the first time in a while it was enjoyable to watch, we took the game to Burnley and we looked forward rather than sideways and backwards. Admittedly Burnley actually came to attack us rather than sit back which helped. If we don't go up but we play like that each week I would still be happy as at least we are attacking and making it enjoyable to watch.
On another note, there needs to be more creative freedom granted to players other than Diame. He's not the key piece that drives the team forward. Usually when he's on the pitch everyone just gives him the ball and expects him to run the length of the pitch skinning every enemy player twice in the process. He's much better as the last, or second to last piece of a move, who can float around finding and exploiting gaps after another player(s) have driven the team up the pitch. Look how much better he looked second half once some of the defenders started trying to move forward and create.
Blindly saying you want someone new in after a bad run of games is worse, when we are so close to what we want. What's the point getting rid if we are still in with a shout. If we don't get promoted it'll be closer to the end of the season when we find out, which will be much too late to get that new manager effect, so pointless just going on about getting someone new in.
Great game and a very good performance, enjoyed the game from the first minute to the last. Jake was awesome and completely ran the midfield, and Hernandez just gets better. Credit to the whole team, if we can play like that most games we have a good chance of going up.
Derby weren't defensive when they came at all. I thought they pressed high up the field, which we couldn't cope with as we were having one of our'****' 50% games.
I thought they were very defensive when they came, with the midfield set up, with only Martin up front, that's what I saw anyway!
But people were saying it at the start of the season (Bruce was surprised he was kept on). No point saying it's something new. If we get up still under him, great, but he has shown glaring tactical weaknesses again this season.
A fantastic 3-0 win against an enemy we dont do well against. And only up to page 8?? Its almost as if ...nah couldnt be
Good start to Christmas at last we've beat them now lets hope for 3 more in our next game, happy Christmas to everyone and its time for my Cuban cigar
Much better today, we need to make sure we repeat it at Preston and just fall back into look ****e against the poorer teams. Merry Christmas.
