Looking forward to catching up and hopefully a performance to enjoy (@LR that is). Sitting in reception in hotel in France waiting for transfer to Geneva then back in uk tonight. Merry Xmas to all
It will be easy to get into the C&S if you arrive earlyish, it can get crowded with irritating waits to get served by 2.00. Not sure what the attendance will be like on Monday. If you are not familiar with the area I recommend parking at the Westfield shopping centre. Might be a bit crowded with the sales, but usually ok and an easy walk to the ground/pub.
So we have a lot going...how will we all recognise each other? What time is the general meet up? uts will probably be thereeearlier)
The Australian contingent are the tall group - me 6'4", son 6'3", brothers in law 6'1" and 6'6", don't sit behind us....
Beware parking at Westfield on Monday. Usually the traffic is queuing back for miles when the sales are on!!
Westfield was open at 7 this morning and is open again tomorrow. I'm hoping that the slaves who need to go to the sales will have exhausted their credit by Monday. Where would you park Col?
I was going to try to get there early enough to park in one of the side streets or Bloemfontein Rd. It's a BH so no charges will apply, which means they'll be full up early!!You may be right that Westfield will have calmed down a bit by Monday.
I hope so. I was pondering taking the train down but that looks like chaos. I'll be on the road by 11.00 and hope to be parked up by 1.00, a couple of pints to soften the inevitable pain to follow, or heighten the delight of a decent performance.
See you there mate, looks like a nice little gathering. Nuts, Terry, Stainsey and mob, Beth, hopefully Ninesy, MelbournIan. Not sure if Roller will be around, family commitments.
Bank holiday so will be free parking around Bloemfontein Road area. I haven't bought a ticket yet but shall be there for our 0-1 defeat in the rain.
I've got tickets for the Hull game on 1st (thank you Santa!) - back in R Block for first time since moving away in 2000 - assume the parking will be the same then? Also coming in from M4, although it'll be a later kick-off, any other parking suggestions? Hope to catch up with some of you prior to the game, but have also promised jnr a trip into the club shop! Hope we put up a better performance than today
Yeah will be the same everywhere near the ground. Obviously I don't normally come from that direction but given you're in Ellerslie I'd probably park up on any of the streets off the Uxbridge Road then you're close to the ground and somewhere to eat before. There's a nice Mexican-style cafe place near Ellerslie.
I'll be wearing mine, as always!!! Come on TF, get on board and get this adopted as the new club crest...you know it makes sense!
