I understand what you are saying and I am playing a bit of devils advocate over van Gaal but sacking him will not suddenly make Man U great. The team has been on the wane for a while. You never replaced Scholes and the midfield looks inbalanced, the centre backs are poor in possession and you lack fire power and quality in the final third. Players like Blind, Depay, Fellaini are average, not the kind of players that a world class side signs - maybe Man U just cannot compete on wages, so why not keep those loyal such as Welbeck.
