Much as I enjoy watching a Man U manager squirm, I have some sympathy for LVG when it comes to the press. They are a load of scumbags who'll write any sensationalist crap to sell papers, regardless of the consequences.

 

Yup, don't think the Glazers care whether we get 1st or 4th. If we finish outside the top 4 LVG will get the sack, if we finish 4th he'll get a pat on the back and another £100m.

I've said the same about FSG and Liverpool for a while, except their business model works if you finish in the Europa places. They bought Liverpool very cheap, have made a lot of money out of it but won't risk £200m of their profit on a gamble to get into the top 4.

 

Problem with getting 4th is you could Everton yourself out of the competition at the qualifying stage.

 

True and when the 4th spot is taken away the new target will be third. The fact remains though that the Glazers are happy with CL football, the title is just a bonus, and they don't give a **** whether the fans are entertained as long as they keep filling the stadium and buying the merchandise.

edit: I didn't even bother to check if Rooney was on the list because how could he be, but he's 60th!

 

Seems a pretty fair top10 imo. I'd put Pogba in for Augero if it's based on the last 12 months. Apart from that it's fair. I guess everyone will have a couple of their own Favourites they'd put in but those already in are worthy.

Ronaldo might be a prize c**t but Messi and him are in a league of their own tbh. Only the most biased, would think otherwise.

The top3 is a very likely, how the ballon d'or will end up.
