As it's so quiet on the forum, with not so much football to talk about, I just wondered if anybody had a favourite footy DVD they could turn to relieve the boredom? I've got one or two but I'm not really into watching things over and over again. One that I do like watching though is the 1955 Cup Final against Man City. If anybody hasn't seen it they should get a copy, a great way to pass a quiet night away.

I guarantee that you'll enjoy it.

Yes, enjoyed that too. Forget the name of the guy that played old Big 'ed but he took a really good part.

    Another good watch.

They were games that lots of us had seen, the '55 Final wasn't.

I know it's not football related but 'Coach Carter' is another personal favourite

Saw that one, Samuel L. Jackson is always good in his films. Good story, well written.

Evening AB. Just back in from a rare night out with the wife. Bit early, but with babysitters and all....

Film-wise I can recommend In Bruges or Catch Me If You Can. Both crackers with surprisingly good performances from Colin Farrell and Leonardo DiCaprio, respectively. Thought they'd be ****e, but top notch in the event.

Evening Sid, hope you both enjoyed your night out. Did you make the wife pay?

Was something about DiCaprio that put me off him when I first saw him without having seen his films, but he's a really good actor and I've enjoyed the films I've seen with him in them. I'd rate 'Catch me if you can' as the best.

Did I make the wife pay?? Natch, me being a tightwad :)

Nice meal at a club in Croydon - few drinks then off home before it all kicks off. Croydon is a bit like a warm version of Newcastle, i.e. Dodge City on Friday/Saturday nights.
