So.... you claimed something almost 12 months ago, when he'd scored 14 goals in 21 games (and probably just after he'd scored a brace against your motley crew in December ) and you're saying the rest of us, the United fans, who have watched him throughout this season when he's actually been poor, and have stated as such, are the ones "finally realising"? Waay aaay mystic meg. Geordie logic
Fan logic: "only fans of this team can watch the games and formulate a worthy opinion" He was **** before this season, and we discussed this at the time, and I was assured I was just awful at looking at people playing football and seeing which ones might as well gallop on all fours like a lowland gorilla. Like a bellend, I went against my better judgement and put the fat oaf in my fantasy team at the start of this season, and four games later the useless **** had scored precisely feck all . I mentioned my disappointment then, and you cruel bastards just mocked!!! Now you're all ****ing plagiarising my opinion and insisting you came up with it first. Well I'm copyrighting the terms "Rojo is ****", "Smalling is ****" and "Is Depay Ryan Babel?".
Don't understand your first line at all. When did I say that? But you claiming almost 12 months ago that he was 5hit when he'd scored a healthy 14 goals in 21 games just after he'd scored 2 against your club, does seem a bit premature? Then claiming that somehow United fans are "finally realising this" when we have watched him this season and based on that, have good cause to say he's been ****, seems to me you're blowing a lot of hot air fella. Either way, I agree he's been on the decline for a while... as a footballer. What's saved him in the past was his goalscoring. He always banged in the goals so the rest of his performances were usually overlooked. In that sense, at the start of the season it wouldn't have been a mistake to have him in your Fantasy Team tbf. He should have been expected to keep scoring despite playing sh1t. That was my theory anyway. But it seems that side of his game has desserted him as well. He's finished and I don't see him coming back from this. Van Gaal has done his best to help that along aswell btw. Edit: I'm copyrighting the term "Smalling is world class" for when you use it
This is why most gamblers lose. There should be no room for sentiment where there's money concerned. Bet what you think will happen, not what you want to. That's the golden rule of gambling
Funnily enough, I think we'll win. If I thought we were going to lose I simply wouldn't bother betting on the match.
That's not me, that's Super Hans! Got a good feeling about tomorrow, no idea why. Maybe it's the Christmas spirit.
Crunch time for LVG. If he loses or even draws 0-0 he is in trouble and will probably be sacked. but would people here want: A defeat- to be absolutely sure he is sacked.? A 0-0 which would still keep the pressure on? A 2-3 win in all attacking goal fest with own goals etc. which would save him?
Not much, just a balanced team with a decent starting 11 playing a good solid defence complimented by a creative and expansive attacking style of football where we play behind their defence rather than in front of it. Keep doing that and the results will come and he'll get to keep his job.
You know as well as me that is what most sensible people would want. But we all know that the above may not give a win and no matter how well the team plays, it is probably too late and the knives will be out. The stoke match will be all about a win.
For LVG it will be. I reckon if he gets a win tomorrow and a draw against Chelsea then talk of him being sacked is off. But then what? It could just be a sticking plaster. I'm more concerned about the long term. The build up to this game has been all about what's important for LVG rather than the team. For me, the game tomorrow has to show a real difference in style/performance, that gives hope for the rest of the season. If we play the same dire 5hite and scrape a win, that's just a temporary fix but the underlying problem would still be there.
So 4 nil win and he's sacked! Bit harsh that. I think it's make or break time. Simple. Nine or seven points from the next three games and all the **** goes away and we/he get the chance to kick on from there. Lose today though and the pressure is right on and I'm not sure he'd recover. I think we'll win by a couple today and it'll end up the former of those two possibilities.
