I wouldn't have described lyndhurst and notdistant in those terms either joe. Whatever next... I've just about calmed down again now but have to admit to having demolished the bottle of plonk.
I could have done with that plonk after suffering that rubbish last Saturday with plym.. But i had my monthly allowance of ale in the lunch hour.. 2 pints of Guinness! THAT WAS PLENTY
When the ticker went south a couple of years ago I gave up smoking and a number of other things but it wouldn't have been worth anything if I'd given up the lot so bollox to it, if I want a whole bottle or even 2 then I have it. If you give up everything then what's the point. Don't bother counting units or the empties put out in the recycling. Not that I'm a big drinker anyway. Just have my moments.
I agree, smoking probably bad (and I gave up some years ago) but we do get through more wine than we ought- No intention of living healthily and being miserable so I can 'survive' to 90. Much rather enjoy life while I can (and have)- no one gets a second go at it. Life is for living, not surviving.
Know what folks, I'm bored to distraction at the minute. Not having a game and it being beneficial to our injured mob is one thing on the practical side but it doesn't help when not involved in a game for so long on a personal level. At the minute at home her indoors has a dose of a flu like thing. Now I say flu like because a lot of people use the flu word when all they have is a heavy cold at worst. She is almost imobile even if the tongue part still works well enough. What with having to do the cooking as well as shopping at the minute with no football as a reward has made me turn to the bottle once more. I know you chaps will understand. To save me I neeed a day out at the football and a pint or two in the bar after.
Having at least 23 matches a season for you to watch sensible you'll get no sympathy from me.......this season I've watched Argyle already 3 times this season and it ain't yet Christmas.....this is a good season for me.......And I still haven't seen Argyle beaten since Gillingham under Reid during the admin season. Good job your computer is now working......just imagine if you where still off-line......you wouldn't be able to moan to us all day about no football......now that sounds a good idea that we've missed out on.....you've had all that time to get your predictions right for Saturday.....will we see an improvement..............
Hope its Not Man flu sensible or she will be poorly.. You know how men suffer.. You deserve a few extra pints
Cheers Joe, glad somebody understands. If I don't get mentioned in despatches or a medal for this last week then it's a travesty. I mean, I've even had to make the bed on my own.
You should be Knighted, having to do all that.. its not easy for you.. i understand fully.. Women dont know how severe a man flu attack is.
Can I offer everyone a drink.....to welcome me back......been off-line because of problems that stopped me getting on-line since Tuesday. Just said goodbye to Chris....an IT Consulant that I've unfortunately had to use a few times ........that's when problems develop beyond my Laptop ability........Java updating problems plus a Norton error stopped me getting on-line......as you can see I'm around again......ok so you hadn't missed me.....I'll take that drink back then......and there wouldn't have been any of sensible's well hidden crisps anyrate.
Please see Cambridge thread......I feel really guilty abut some of above now. So much so that I will buy the next round AND supply the crisps and nuts for good measure.
Cheers Ron, you didn't do too badly either. Thanks for the favour. If you've time stay and have a couple on Plymborn, he's loaded so he won't miss it.
Right everyone pay attention. I've lined a drink up for everyone who cares to join us and even opened a new box of crisps for the coming celebrations. Lets make this one a really successful time for the Greens. Drink up, Plymborn says you can use his tab and enjoy the rest of the weekend. notdistant has even provided a plate of prawn sandwiches. (only kidding). Anyone else be glad when it's all over?
