Bruce told Burnsy that contracts would be addressed in January. Now that we know what needs doing and why - it is no surprise that the wheels are in motion.
Okay, international break, then the new year, then the summer, then back to the new year again. Not that it really matters, it will take months to agree everything and they can always pull the plug on any deal later if they wish.
The ones that will stay for more money are the ones who will most likely leave. We'll make them an offer and if we can't go any higher, then they'll be allowed to leave and find another club. The ones who are happy to stay here (either because they love the city and the club or they are worried they won't get another deal elsewhere) won't be too much hassle and will probably accept sometime in January.
Makes infinite sense to address the contracts at this time. We are fourth in the league and within 3 points of automatic promotion. With the the right sort of effort from the players, management and yes fans we can move into an auto spot and stay there. Contracts can now be filled with promotion incentives that are now in sight. Earlier the players out of contract would not have had these facts in their hands to make these decisions nor did the management.
McGregor Elmo Harry Davies Robertson Meyler Livermore Snodgrass Diame Maloney Hernandez Elmo and Robertson need to push on giving width and with Snodgrass, Diame, and Maloney interchanging
A number of players need to stand up and be counted on Saturday after last weeks abysmal showing! I suspect Brucey will not make too many changes (unfortunately).
If anyone needs dropping it is ****ing Elmo. He's been **** all season. McGregor Dave Maguire Davies Robertson Livermore Meyler Snodgrass Diame Maloney Abel
He doesn't have that big a range otherwise he'd be more of a threat than he is and would have gone last transfer window.
I agree. That's why I suggested playing him in goal. None of my comments about him on this thread were meant to be taken seriously.

I'd be equally happy with that. After Reading I thought Odubajo was alright after not rating him all season. Then after Rotherham I thought he was **** again. Neither of them are up to much but either would probably be a lot better playing behind Snodgrass.
