That would be brilliant. What a legend Drog is, although I thnk it may be a little bit early for him. Still, who knows?

    A surprise to be sure.
Maybe they think he will have a calming influence on the dressing room, having been a vocal member of it not so long ago.
Obviously has worked with Hiddink, and most of the players, before. So methinks his role will be a liaison or mediator of sorts.

To be honest, I think its a greasy move by the board.

They know they've got rid of a legend and fan favourite in Jose, so what do they do? Get didier all in the cameras and give him a trumped up "coaching" role (i.e. a motivator) that he's not qualified for, Abromovic looks like hes on the side of the fans, and we get placated a bit faster...

    Its so transparent it hurts.

Great great player but I'm not sure he'd make a good manager. I still have visions of him shouting "It's a fckin disgrace" in front of the cameras lol. If you want an ex-player to be a potential future candidate what about Jimmy Hasselbank? Isn't he cutting his teeth in the lower leagues.

I take that back, it's got to be a banker Terry will be managing Chelsea pretty soon. He's been managing them for the last 7 years anyway <whistle>

Anything that gets leaders back in the dressing room and a better atmosphere around the club is fine by me. May be a bit of P.R but I don't actually think the club has done anything wrong.

Apart from thinking the fans are soft Kants and stupid, the club has done nothing wrong.

After Saturday, I think the club knows that the fans aren't stupid.

You assume he's going backroom, whereas I reckon he'll be a squad member.

If he does sign for Chelski again to play, what the actual ****.

I thought Steve Holland looked depressed in his post match interview. I've learned a great respect for the man during this season. Plain talking and usually common sense and obviously has a grasp of football tactics. In waltzes Drogba, who still has one year left on his Montreal deal. Rui Faria was still on the bench. For all the positives that Drogs could bring Holland is pre-Jose and deserves better. My hope is that he gets set up with a manager job elsewhere rather than demoted at Chelsea.
