Yeh I stopped watching his films after Kill Bill which I'll be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of but this film is good imo. Some fine performances by the usual suspects as well. Jennifer Jason Leigh is the real surprise, she laps up her role.

I just don't get it, the first film had the big fight scenes, great musical montages, random animation brilliantly done, beautifully shot scenes (snow scene). And then there's the 2nd one. Even if it was one film I have my doubts, it's as if he lost his way halfway through.

I've never liked Tarantino to be honest. His films are always plotless. 20 minutes of inane conversation followed by 5 minutes of arbitrary violence sandwiched by 20 more minutes of pointless chatter.

There are very few Tarantino films I've been able to stand start to end. I'm not a big fan of idle small talk so hate films where it's nothing but small talk.

it was on the same time as borat so must of been a remake I remember it was God awful anyway.

I'm not into slasher & gore horrors much I prefer thriller/physiological horror movies. Stuff like saw and hills have eyes do nothing for me whereas films like the purge or the exorcism of Emily rose get my heart pumping somewhat, I think its a sense of realism or familiarity that horrifies me, saying that I think all the insidious films are garbage and they probably fall under the thriller / psychological genre :D

Agree completely. Slasher films and gore do nothing. Find them boring. Anything with suspense and realism very much my cup of tea <ok>

Having said that, the original Black Christmas has both and for that reason is bloody excellent imo. Never seen the remake but imagine it's sh1te.

I always liked Reservoir Dogs the most. Progressively got more and more irritating tbh. Ironically I find his films formulaic which he was trying to avoid in the first place.

I like Di Caprio, think he's a brilliant actor but just have this feeling I wont like him in a Tarantino film so have never watched Django.
