Awful isn't it Dave. I was in Glenridding a few years ago and it's a gorgeous little place - must have been terrifying to have boulders sweeping down those hills.
Morning all, dry and sunny here and it looks as if there will be a decent one tomorrow as well. It must be bad to be flooded once, but twice in such a short period is grim. Came across this piece which made me smile. Hope you do! https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/very-specific-football-no-21-145103278.html
We have a facebook page? Can someone tell me how to find it please? Greetings all, have a good Christmas!
Same in sunny north west London. Thankfully it was dry when I went out at 7AM to pick the turkey up. Spending Xmas behind enemy lines so packing the survival kit now. Hope everyone has a good one.
Morning all. I had an interesting Christmas Eve. Young master NZ bounced off the trampoline and head butted a rock, so we all went to A&E, where he had his head glued. They don't use stitches any more. He is fine but has a bit of a head ache. Perhaps he has learnt that the netting around the trampoline should always be zipped up when he decides to bounce, but I doubt it. Mrs NZ blames me. She says that the penchant for head injuries that I have must be genetic.
I have just had a large scab detach itself from the top of my head gathered when I failed to notice that a timber beam was between me and where I was heading. This particular scab replaced the previous one incurred on the same beam. I put it down to stupidity on part.
Tx Yorkie, have asked to join above mentioned group, be fun trying to guess what your real names are.
Please, I am just having my afternoon coffee and comestibles, which includes a pork pie with a crust..........
Good morning all. An early start as the Christmas pudding needs to go in the slow cooker for hours. I hope you all have a lovely day. I am lucky to have family out here and will enjoy the company of three young ladies. If you are on your own you have my special thoughts today.
Merry Xmas everyone - cannot sleep as usual. Still dark so difficult to judge the likely weather, but the wind has died down and there is no rain. Aall the W_Y brood spent the night at home + 1 very pregnant partner and 2 will be here for lunch. So should be a fine day. #1 son is off to Amerstdam tomorrow to stay with his girlfriend, before they both return on the 29th to stay through New Year - so a busy time in the W_Y residence. Again Merry Xmas everyone.
