He is supposed to be better than the usual punter This is why he gets the other predictions right (like Gerrez has stated). He is not unduly influenced by the big club bias and this "they are bound to turn this round" thing. He just looks at their form. If he keeps getting things wrong, as a pundit, shouldn't he do something about it? When he kept getting things wrong about Chelsea, shouldn't he think " May be there is something about Chelsea and may be they won't win this time". he is supposed to be an expert FFS. He doesn't have to keep predicting they will win every time despite the evidence. The same thing with leicester in reverse. He predicts like the ordinary punter. What does he bring extra for the money he's paid?
That's the big question, and I'm the wrong person to answer it as I think everyone involved with football is massively overpaid. Tbf, the prediction business is just entertainment and no-one should take it seriously. I can't imagine anyone bets real money based on the advice of Lawro and such. If they did they'd be as daft as he is.
Exactly, its based on the balance of probability. Its why some of us don't have Mahrez or Vardy in our fantasy teams despite them being the top scoring midfielder & striker in the PL. We just expect their 'run' to stop but in reality I've been expecting them to stop playing well since about October
Like it or not he's been a part of 5 title winning sides, 3 league cup winning sides, 2 European finals (winning 1) & an FA Cup winning team. He played 350+ games for Liverpool in our best decade. And he's played under legendary managers like Kenny Dalglish, Joe ***an & Bob Paisley. The experience he's got means his opinions are taken more seriously than Carlthejackal from Norwich.
I said he was a great player and I admired him as such. But as a pundit predicting especially the matches for Chelsea and lfc he has been absolute rubbish. In fact I can safely say in that aspect even Mrs carlthejackal from Norwich >> Lawro from the BBC
Lawro is a fool. He goes Top 4 Home team Big team In that order so on points 2 and 3 Leicester got screwed by lawro logic. I actually go by Merson on sky who's got a fair to middling prediction record. For me Leicester are clear favorites for this one and the lack of fight at Anfield is unacceptable so we all hope Klopp sacks the lot.
Sorry, I've voted no. With the clowns we have in goal and defence and very few options in terms of goalscoring, not to mention an inability to pass the ball, we are ****ed. Plus our lot will turn up hung over.
So Sturridge is not playing in any games over Xmas as he wants to be fit for January, and will be doing extra training to get over his injury problems. He gets most of his injuries in training so how will this help
Now it is obvious that we are going to get a thrashing as our **** defence normally is now down to 2 half fit CB's and a dodgy reserve back up keeper So i predict a a stupendous 5-1 win
Let's say: "Hope for the best but prepare for the worst" Let's hope for a 2-1 but be prepared for a 1-3. A defeat would be hugely disappointing - 1 out of 12 winnable points.
