The issue for me wasn't starting a thread on De Ridder (in fact, now that he's signed I've got absoloutely no problems with there being a De Ridder thread on here now. Perfectly acceptable). The issue was starting a thread on another rumour - the exact words used in title. We already have a thread to put rumours on. There is already a slightly excessive amount of threads on here, without adding more which could easily be incorporated within already-created ones.

No worries. Welcome to not606. (I'm only pointing it out because it was a massive bug-bearer of mine on the old 606. At any one time we could easily have 5+ similar threads on there, all of which could have been put together really in just the one).

The problem is, if 2 or 3 people notice the news on the OS at the same time, they will most probably all go and start a thread on that subject at the same time as well, especially if it's really good (or bad) news. That's obviously what's happened with the De Ridder threads.

I'll be honest and say when NC first came in I had my doubts about him. But not anymore, he has more than earned not just mine, but everybody's trust over the past 18 months.

Actually guys we will keep the numbers down if we can. If you guys could Pm us if something like that happens it would help and we do do our best to keep the threads to single ones. We do have time off though so a pm would at least alert us to the problem.

How about I randomly pick a footballer from football manager and link him with Saints, this would be a rumour mill of similar success rate

I wouldn't mind Gabriel Obertan in if we did loose AOC, pace to burn and seems a fairly decent crosser with either RL, LB, AL DC GdP or SdR in the middle

I am busy working on a deal for Lewin Nyatanga who is always great on football games, however I have never seen him play!
