Meyler has just confirmed that he has no intention of going anywhere in January, he says his child will be born in Hull and he's in talks over a new deal.
Meyler strikes me as by far the most likely to stay, out of those whose contracts end next summer. To be honest, I think he might be the only one of them who's here next season. Who goes (if anyone) in January is another matter. I'm not expecting huge activity next month.
Watch me as I **** myself with excitement. Although it could mean he's off to Doncaster, Scunthorpe or York, he could commute.
Must admit Meyler use to get a lot of stick from me during games, especially when we were losing but I have warmed to him. At least he gives 100% kicks people and then falls over.
Not to be outdone Tom Huddlestone tweets: I hope to live to see my grandchildren grow up in Hull Anyway Hudd is not so persona non grata now. City are **** whoever plays.
He's been more City wok than City at the moment, we need him playing like he was during our promotion season.
Not true, I said he wasn't good enough for the Premier League, I've never said he's not good enough for the Championship. He has gone back to looking poor again, if he sorts his form out, I'd gladly welcome him back into the team.
I think Bruce intentionally played him in all those games since he returned to gradually get him match fit following his injury. I suspect Bruce told him not to overdo it, pace himself, as he recognises he may well be key to the heavy schedule coming up. Meyler is a work-horse, but can only perform his role when he's close to peak fitness. Those 3 games may have aided that objective. Let's hope so. Unless I missed something (quite possible) and he's re-injured himself in those 3 recent games.
