**** me, you're dim. Anyway, I'm sure this is boring the **** out of everyone else, so let's just move on.
I think many of us now realise to a) Get promotion to The Prem b) Stay there & not get relegated straight back down again we need a new manager who can motivate the players to go out & attack & put the opposition on the back foot from the whistle (not stroll about for 45 mins & only start playing after the mandatory half time bollocking). Problem is we don't own the club & the person who does seems to have no desire to remove Bruce & replace him. Allam is not a football fan. By his own admission he never stood on the terraces at Boothferry Park watching City. Therefore he can't understand how frustrating it is to watch such a talented squad of players under achieve & play safe, boring football. He knows no different. If he did he would have sacked Bruce at Christmas 2014 & replaced him with Tony Pulis & we'd still be in The Prem as WBA are . Unfortunately unless Bruce decides to resigns we are stuck with him & his tired old excuses as to why his multi million pound squad only perform for 45 mins & get outfought/outplayed by teams like Rotherham.
The discussions on this thread are like deja vu (or day jar view as Tickles would say), it's just like the final months of Brownies tenure.
I think a couple of the reasons why city fans are getting frustrated are, 1) week after week we keep getting told by SB " you've not seen the best of us yet" no that's true, but when it going to happen, the seasons half over we and we are still waiting. 2)fans will get fed up and voice there discontent; that's because they care about there team, following a football team not cheap these days and we expect better from this squad, the decline on field has been going on for 18mths or so now, yes we do have some very good footballers, but why week in, week out,are they not preforming. 3) Since the international break, its like we've been suss out tactically and we don't appear to have the answer to counter it( plan B), well aware that its almost impossible to go a season unbeaten, but its the manner of some of the defeats that leave a bad taste in the mouth ,and once again we are told that "it will only get better" did we fluke getting to the top spot and have now been found out. 4)Feel it is uncertain times for city both on and off the field, I feel that the fan base is maybe ready for a change re manager, who I don't know, all I know is that my love for city is being tested, I'll still go come hell or high water, but please I need entertaining, at time its like watch 11 players who are complete strangers to each other. UTT.
That was for a different post, nothing to do with his other posts that he didn't know what he wanted!
Yeah thats the best philosophy in general, no need for abuse and name-calling especially as Bruce has taken us far as he could and further than anyone else. We should get rid in the most respectful way possible. It's a shame he didn't resign at the end of the last season as even people like me who backed him would have understood, he was looking ill at the time.
Ok from the great & powerful "Bruce out brigade," who should be renamed the, "shhh someone might hear us brigade!"
There are so many permutations aren't there. For me, Bruce could leave, head held high knowing that he will, thus far, be the most successful manage in our clubs history (looks good on his CV) or he can stay and flounder in the certain knowledge that any aspirations he has for continued management would see him pushed down the pecking order to League 1 and potentially league 2. I said on another thread, for someone who supposedly is held in such high regard, for him to not be able utilise those relationships shows a serious shortcoming in his management abilities, let alone the very unsuccessful forays into the transfer market. HIS, Steve Bruce's choice of player has pushed this club back, I was going to say years as even if we were promoted I cannot genuinely think of one player we have that is premiership class at this moment in time and no matter who took over it would take a degree of time to re-enthuse this collection of footballers, change their style, work ethic and their thinking to as point where we could go forward again. Next season out comfort parachute payment reduces and instead of being well ahead of the rest financially we are back to picking up scraps like the rest of the teams in this division, usually has been and never was's. A long long road back.
